Your thoughts on human human civilization playing with immensely powerful emerging technologies beyond our ability to control, like Nanotechnology and Artificial Intelligence.

(I know this is an uber-old post, but whatever. I'm gonna post anyway)

I'm under the impression that we've been surviving just that way since the dawn of time. If humanity hadn't habitually faced the unknown and delved into technologies and discoveries far beyond our realm, we wouldn't be anywhere near the advanced race we are now.

we are emerging just as the technologies are, be it the same rate or not. just because the human masses may stagnate or plateau, it doesnt mean that others are not evolving past what can be widely understood. indigo children, empaths, etc for instance.
