what did everyone think of all the vests and patches this year? I saw some reall cool, rare looking patches ( notably a big skagos back patch and a big speedwolf back patch ), but im wondering what everyone else saw?

i'll have to make me a vest for next year! i bought some patches this time around

I hate patches. Its like wearing one band shirt isn't going to get people enough metal cred so they gotta go all out and show everybody 50 bands they like.

My favorite backpatch was the DIY Hank Hill "Propane" patch on the guy from Colorado.

The chick with the Coven-Witchcraft Destroys Minds & Reaps Souls cover backpatch. So rad/hot.

Yeah, I started sewing a jacket together this past fall but then realized I would never wear it.

In the winter I wear my Rocawear jacket to shows and black chicks hit on me at convenience stores and shit. That's about as black metal as it gets, eh ;)

In the summer I just wear a t-shirt or cut off and that suits me just fine

Robinator will become famous soon enough
The thing with patches on jackets that kind of bugs me is that every time I see a dude or a dudette rocking them, they're always the same typical patches from the same typical bands like Slayer, Morbid Angel, Cannibal Corpse, etc., etc. People need to get more creative or something.. lol..

Yeah, I was trying to buy merch and these two women in front of me spent about 10 minutes buying the most generic patches and shirts. How much Bathory, Immortal, Slayer, Carcass, Morbid Angel etc... does a person need?

I really dug all the Pestilence patches.
I don't have any patches or any metal band shirts even (except some random brother at the fest gave me a candlemass patch and money for a drink- i must have really looked pathetic) but I like vests and all that. Metalheads and their hairbrushes and sewing skills.. so cute <3

haha I know what you're saying. I have some of those on my vest (they are good bands after all) but I also have other shit too that isn't too common.

The Hank Hill patch someone mentioned already was awesome! When I saw that I cracked up!

Same here. Got some of your standards, but I grew up on that shit. Can't pretend I don't love it. I've also got some really obscure shit if you look closer, though.
