This album. I don't know why I just keep on coming back to it, it's just the right blend of melancholy and easy-listening. Great vocals, and lots of subtleties in the instrumentation. Plus it's got that overlying Swedish crisp frost vibe.

Highly recommended, super under-appreciated record.

Just discovered this side-project, Mire Kay:



More hipsterish and not quite as dark or broody as Audrey, but it has it's charm. That cello.

I know that. I was just thinking that both of Violent Dirge's albums had a connection in sound. Though, as I'm listening to Elapse, it's not the same.

Even still, I wouldn't say Craving is a "terrible ripoff" of Cynic.
