is my band "Sumeriancore"?

http://www.metalinjection.net/tv/audio.php

the Binary Code "Ghost Planet" (final album version)

I don't think we're nearly as technical or crazy as some of the Sumerian records bands go. By crazy, I mean meedly meedly and what not.

We have death metal influences, but not modern day deathcore influences. I don't know, you guys tell me.

You guys know best, so lay it on me.

You'll be seeing us on tour w/ Revocation in January if you dig us at all.

For those of you who don't know what "SUMERIANCORE" is, you're lucky, I suppose. However, it's definition would probably ring to the tune of: "Any band that sounds like they are/could be signed to Sumerian Records (the Faceless, After the Burial, Veil of Maya)."

Yeah, you could probably get on Sumerian. Mix kind of hurts. What do you do in the band? I saw that video of your drummer and he's definitely got chops!

I play guitar, and I do the opening vocals "Poisoned from within, extorted" "Their price for perfection". I only do little back ups here and there. I'll tell him you dug the video! His Pakistani self will appreciate it. He likes Abhorrent a lot, he mentioned you guys the other week when we were talking about Lyle.

Yeah...it's a new term for bands that sign to Sumerian Records (the Faceless, Veil of Maya, After the Burial).

I'm only asking because we were praised as "Sumeriancore" recently by Metalsucks, but I don't hear it. We don't play breakdowns...I'm not necessarily offended by the term, just wondering if we are.

Hey, they put their bands on tour! You guys don't exactly sound like deathcore or whatever, but I could see them digging your style. Are you already signed?

Not yet. It's been a weird couple of weeks. Lots of weird (and I mean WEIRD)/awesome offers, but no decision just yet.

We had a tour lined up w/ Revocation, Starring Janet Leigh, and a band from France called Hypno5e. Originally, Eryn Non Dae. was on the tour, but Revocation replaced them. All sorts of crazy shit has happened since then. The tour was going to be announced last Friday, but SJL had a family emergency, and Relapse suggested the tour be pushed back to January, and find Thunderdome find a strong headliner.

Revocation is still on board, and the tour is happening in January now. The headliner ideas are righteous, to say the least. Oddly enough, I think this tour will make the DM forum-goers very happy. It'll be roughly 45 dates.

Ash from Sumerian is definitely one of the better label owners out there, doing things in a very intelligent way. Not a huge fan of the bands he signs, save for a few, but he's really smart when it comes to business.

Okay Marlonao, if this isn't proof you guys have to ask Demon Carcass to do shitty vocals and keyboards on the Abhorrent EP, I don't know what is. Just switch out that broham after you're signed for a full-length. I mean Lyle already knows the guy, right? Fucking do it, seriously.

How'd you get on that? Did Relapse ask? Or Revocation? Or did you set it up?

Actually, we got Revocation on it. When Eryn Non Dae. dropped, I knew the exact band to recommend to fill their spot.

Um...well, I guess it was a combination of things. Our manager is really good at what he does I guess!

The Relapse dudes are awesome. They've been so helpful so far.

Something about this place pisses off the locals, all the shows I've been to there have been awesome. I heard something about douchy security and unethical management, but I have also heard that has changed. I went with a bunch of bands from here for a show there a month or so ago, and every band had a fair share of the door money, which wasn't much, but it seemed to me that the place didn't take that much. It also might depend on who's booking you. Might is actually an understatement.

@OP, whomever labeled you "Sumeriancore" clearly has a very limited metal vocabulary. Please don't propagate this phrase.

I liked the song up until the weird spoken passage toward the end...
