not bad... a few in there are really surprising. But Death, Cynic, and Suffocation being so high on the list makes me happy!

Definitely some surprises on the list. 8/10 of my picks made it on.
Effigy was number one...I knew it would be. :)

no disrespect to them, but top ten imo should be reserved strictly for the pioneers, i.e. deicide, cannibal, suffo, immo, death, and definately morbid angel

No Morbid Angel, Dismember, Immolation, Incantation, or Deicide in the top 10, but two SOP. haha. SOP are indeed an awesome band but I certainly differ with the consensus on a bunch of things.
*Vigorously votes for Iniquity* : )

Yeah man. I want to cite all of the lameness but I'm afraid people won't want me to do it again or won't submit their honest answers next time for fear of ridicule.

Spiritual Healing got one vote total, and it was 9th on that person's list.

No offense to anyone who participated, but this list shows a lack of experience when it comes to death metal. The first 20 should be nothing but genre classics. The bands who paved the way for todays bands deserve the respect.

and they get that respect in my book, doesn't mean they're in my top 10 fav dm albums............some people tookk this list the wrong.should have been your favs strictly NOT what bands deserve the most recognition.otherwise my list would've been completely different!

At the same time I don't think we should be afraid for a newer album to legitimately be better than some or all of the classics. It IS possible.
That isn't what we saw here in my opinion though.. it was more of a "lack of experience" as Abby put it... although I feel and sound pompous saying that. Bottom line is I'm glad everyone voted for exactly what they wanted to vote for. I plan on posting everyone's lists but I may wait untill tomorrow as it's going to take a ton of copy and pasting and I have to do some shit before I bed for work tomorrow.
