No touch makes the play in the neutral zone more dynamic, and makes trap defense a lot less boring to watch. Makes it safer as well, which is worth the blown whistle imo.

Yeah the only thing I like is the safer for players part.

I don't like no-touch. It seems cool at first, and then I got bored of it, and wanted my races back. And saying it makes the game faster is questionable. What about that time when the icing team gets there first, does a quick change, stretch pass which results in a highlight reel goal? I like those. Can be a great momentum shifter.

You could argue forcing the play in the neutral zone cause a lot of turnovers, making more odd-man rushes, making an exciting game, but then players look like amateurs causing turnovers all the goddamn time. I have nothing against a Datsyuk-esque puck stripping, but shitty neutral zone turnovers look bush-league.

Simple, make a caveat that allows the refs to call off icing if he determines that its simply the result of a missed pass - just as it is right now.

Yeah I guess some kind of hybrid would be the best. Because in the olympics they blew a bunch of missed pass.

Bruins - Penguins game tonight is going to bring it, but for all the wrong reasons.

Everyone is talking about whether the Bruins should make a point tonight with the Cook situation, or just focus on gaining points for the playoffs.

IMO, the Bruins missed their oppurtunity to take care of the situation, if they go for revenge tonight, it'll be late and trite.
