You're comments about monkeys are just your racist tendencies shining through. If I were a dolphin, I would also throw shit at you.

We are still talking about food right?

I would eat anything...poodle fritters....dolphin sushi...monkey sweetbreads...

All animals are equal....and equally delicious when prepared correctly.

People eat dogs....and when they make a documentary about it you can cry for them too.

My racial tendancies? What about yours? Are you ok with cannibalism by the way?

Some cutures really don't have too many options when it comes to food but you don't think the Japanese can manage without dolphins?

And obviously this is just a moral debate. Technically you're right, meat is meat. We are the highest on the food chain, why save these ones and not the others?

If you don't support it, it's simply because you don't give a shit. Personally, I thought the documentary was over dramatised. When the fisherman laughed when the dolphin tried to escape and bled to death I already knew that it was possible that they took that out of context.

But what I think the video is doing is testing how many people really care? Right now they are trying to get the movie shown in Japan because most people aren't aware.

Thought it far better then the similar-themed Primer...

Just seen:

The Road: very faithful adaption of the book, good, but didn't really add anything to the written version

Sherlock Holmes: Decent, Downey Jr and Jude Law are excellent, not 100% convinced that Guy Ritchie's style suits the material though.

All four seasons:

All were excellent aside from Eraserhead, which I liked, but less than the others.

Finally catched up on some De Niro classics last weekend, like Mean Streets, The Deer Hunter and Raging Bull. I also watched Taxi Driver for about the gazillioned time.

I've mixed feelings about The Deer Hunter, even though it has some incredible scenes such as this one:

I don't know, it was at times way too drawn out and boring.
The whole wedding scene in the beginning could've been cut short, imo.
Seriously, it felt like watching the wedding video of some relatives.

Raging Bull is just about perfect.
It's definitely Scorsese's masterpiece alongside Taxi Driver.
Mean Streets was alright, and quite some fun to watch.

Cape Fear is next on the list.

So rad. Really faithful adaptation of the book too.

It's a murder mystery with weird occult elements.

shhhh, you weren't supposed to say anything

but yeah, it's pretty bad. if i didn't have to watch it for class last year, i doubt i ever would have watched it. i love me some de Niro, but not enough to sit through nearly three hours of Liza.

Bigger, Stronger, Faster*, a documentary about steroids, professional sports, the fitness industry, and the supplement industry. Was a pretty interesting film about how people demonize steroids and performance enhancing drugs. A lot of the shit we've heard about steroid's effects is flat out made up. Even despite entirely superfluous congressional hearings and vehement opposition to their use, society continually dumps money into drug-fueled sporting events. It's pretty fucking simple, if everyone is juicing maybe you should stop buying tickets to the baseball game and paying their salaries wtf.

There was another hilarious section about how unregulated the supplement industry is in the U.S. The film-maker finds a bunch of migrant labor and launches a supplement marketed as a testosterone booster, which is almost entirely a placebo, in the span of a few days.

There's also some long boring personal drama sections about steroid use in his family. His two brothers take steroids for recreational powerlifting and a brief professional wrestling career. It gets super gay and the mom cries a lot when she finds out.

All in all it was a good movie. I recommend it to anyone who watches lots of professional sports or has an interest in strength training and the sports related to it.
