While fucking mother mary's boundaged ass!
A december winter night, and blood was dripping from the roof! I knew then that Satan just gave me a sign and I ran to the nearest store to buy the latest album of M.Manson . |

It was at school, I asked to a friend of mine for recording me with the hardest bands that he had, and, when I listened to Emperor "anthems..." and Dissection "Storm..." I throwed away all my no satanic-extreme metal records!!!!!!

Well, I could hardly have called Mr. Inferno an idiot for not recognizing the sarcasm, now, could I? I'll leave the insulting to the others. ;) |

there's nothing about belgian sarcasm man! everyone here can c the sarcastic way it was said ! This is when you can see who's into a band or style or not... Enthroned exist since 1993, Nornagest already had a black metal band in 1990 ( Heresia), so yeah that's logical that he discovered black metal while going to the next shop to buy the last album of marylin manson.... ![]() now a test from my own true or not : I discovred black metal with Michael Jackson but I didn't like it anymore when he changed style to grey metal, so I looked for something more extreme so I discovred another Black artist ; Bob marley , after a while i thought it was too symphonic for me a bit too slow so I listen to more extreme stuff then like Mystifier and Blasphemy it's pure Black metal because it's metal made by cool bands with satanic image and black guys in it! ahahaha |

When I first got into metal, mp3.com was still up. I used to browse the site and found I loved many of the black metal bands featured. That's how it started...

and then they say people who listen to bm don't have a sense of humour. I discovered bm is a rather stupid way: i was reading a magazine where you can order t shirts, rings etc etc and i saw a picture of immortal's pure holocaust. The next day a friend of my came to my place and we were talking and at some point I mentioned the picture; the guy tells me he has the cd. I borrowed it and i liked it very much. I started to look for other bansd and so i got into bm. Now i'm glad i read the magazine :d |

I'd ordered the nuclear blast main catalogue (back in the days the NB releases could kinda be called UG releases still, lol, they had these postcards included in dismember, benediction etc. cds). so I was reading through it and saw something like "De mysteriis: R.I.P. album of the guys around the murdered euronymous". I got kinda curious and felt the urge to order this, so I did and few days later I was into all this, and here I am still today.
fuck, I even remember the cds smelled underground back then. |

As many people here too, my "carrier" also started with "holy Wood" from Manson. Weeks later i bought a Carpathian Forest CD and so my pocket got more and more empty :image12:  !!!

my first BM cd i ever bought was Germania from marduk. And i didn't like its the first time i played it. After a few months i forced myself to listen again to the cd. And i came to the conclusion that BM was more than only 'noise'. My next cd was one of enthroned (the apocalypse manifesto) and that's still one of my fav.

I only really discovered it through progression. I started with thrash(love it), death metal, and then discovered bm. First album was under a funeral moon, and have listened to BM ever since

I was introduced to black metal in the form of Mayhem "De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas", Darkthrone "Transilvanian Hunger" and "A Blaze In The NOrthern Sky". This was after having listened to some thrash, death and grindcore for a year or so and being pretty into it.

first time I got in touch with Black Metal was when a friend of mine gave me Marduk's HEAVEN SHALL BURN... WHEN WE ARE GATHERED as a birthday gift!!!
I was very into Death Metal stuff, so, when I was given this Marduk album, I gave my first step to start listening to Black Metal likes... |

It started of with some Cradle of Filth. I buyed Damnation and a Day (commercial I know ;) ) Then Dimmu Borgir, Death Cult Armageddon. But then I buyed their early albums like the principle of evil, dusk and her embrace, stormblast. Then started to listen at marduk, immortal, impiety, burzum and stuff. Also Black Metal Radio inspired me ^^
