pitch shifters

This actually is a question to the guys from CBT but maybe other people can help me too.......I am looking for a pitch shifter fpr studio recordings! Something that sound very fat like......yeah the pitch from CBT!! More the pitch on the cd Opussy!!!! I used some Boss pitch shifters (PS 3) and some other guitar pedals but there is a lot of noise on them when I record these so I think there are some other and better pitch shifters around......So....CBT dudes, what do you use!?? If other people can help me with this....feel free to tell leave a note in this thread!! I am really looking forward to some reactions!

Tobi, Timo or Sascha........can you help me with this one!??

if you're recording.. extra noise... can be taken care of... mute everything when you're not "singing".... but then again, you'll still get it when you are.... try getting a noise supressor... I got the boss one for my guitar, and use it live.... cus my metal zone made a shit load of noise.. but it cuts down on it a lot.... and doesn't compramise the quality of the sound....I think good editing is probably the best solution to this, though... mabye both those things... but yeah, i'd say mute everything you don't want... how are you recording, by the way?... I'd figure a studio would have something for ya...

I am recording with a harddisk recorder from Roland! Yeah I understand what you mean but there are some studio pitch shifters which are made for the voice! I was wondering if someone could help me with a brand name......or a type!?
The boss pitch shifter pedals are actually made for guitars so I am looking for a pitch shifter/ harmoniser for the vocals.......

ahh, I feel ya,.. that shit's a lot easier if you record on a computer.... plus then you could just get software effects... that of which there is plenty... though I too am curious as to what vocal effects these kids nowadays are using...

Cliteater already was using a pitch shifter but this question is not for that band! I am busy with the recordings for my "solo" project called Hymen Holcocaust!
