Went to the cinema for the first time in ages to see “The Dry”. It was mostly really good.

“Another Round” (new movie with Mads Mikkelsen) is coming to cinemas here soon and I’m probably gonna go see that as well.

What are cinemas like? I always went when there was no one there anyway but I put off seeing Tenet entirely as the news just kept getting worse and worse. That film was glorious and really after watching Inception recently it’s incredible how far a cutting edge director even in his beginnings has come in just ten years; the premise to inception is juvenile compared to how he ties the timelines together in Tenet. Yes perhaps there are gaping plot holes but I was too busy with the visuals.

i haven't seen a worse movie than Tenet in a very very long time. absolutely nothing of worth in there. bland music, actors phoning it in, an incredibly stupid premise and even stupider execution, and most disappointing of all, the most awkward (verging on hilarious) "action" scenes ever. visually, it was basically this:

this is easily the worst movie of the new millennium. absolutely nothing redeeming in it. it's so bad it's bad, and not even the Riffrrax guys managed to make it tolerable

Its fun to watch in 3D during the scenes in the Oasis. But yeah, that's about it. No point in even watching it in 2D imo.

The best non-artsy/A24 horror I have seen in a long time, shit was tense with the feeling of unease from its first frame.
