Looking for a good pedal for some clean chorus. So far the best I've heard is on my GNX4, but I want one that's more portable/adjustble.

So i just purchased a Spector legend 5 custom a few days ago becuase of my badass endorsement dealio and it will be at my house in august because thats when they get their shippment or whatever.....anyways. Its a set neck 5 string with emg-hz passive pickups...i've never heard emg hz's in a bass but i have had experience with hz's with guitars.....and i hate them. so im pretty sure im going to want to buy new emgs (active ones) but i have no idea which ones to get..... what do i do?
thanks |

I've been thinking a lot about getting the Orange 2x12 with Vintage 30s, but it's $580 plus like $100 shipping, should I just save $250 and get a custom made 2x12 cab with Vintage speakers or not? :bang:

Right now I only have a Schecter delux 006 and a fender 212 combo because I barely have enough money to eat and pay bills.
But I'm already saving money to get some all new gear, so do you guys have any suggesstions or opinions? I'm looking at these: ![]() ![]() and I"m pretty sure this will be shit, but such a shame(if it is) because it looks so damn cool! ![]() ![]() and I have an Ibanez chorus/flanger and Ibanez Delay/echo(although I can't find it..) I want to add a Boss noise suppressor and a Boss compression/sustainer

Ibanez doesn't make their mid-range guitars like they used to... the Korean quality is really bad. I went back and played that particular S520EX at my local music store, and I wasn't happy with it at all... very shoddy build quality.
Schecter uses great components with their guitars, always have, but I'm not a big fan of how they feel. That's just me, though. ...Only buy that Epiphone head/amp if you really, really dislike gain and never want to use distortion whatsoever. I have an epiphone tube amp, and I never use it anymore. If you're looking for a guitar, my first suggestion would be to hit up eBay, and this is AFTER you've gone to your local music store(s) and played every guitar that you were interested in and either couldn't make a decision or didn't like any of them. For instance, all of these S guitars will blow away the one you have selected, and for less money: http://cgi.ebay.com/ibanez-sv470-sv-...QQcmdZViewItem http://cgi.ebay.com/Ibanez-prestige-...QQcmdZViewItem http://cgi.ebay.com/Ibanez-S540FM-Pr...QQcmdZViewItem

A sweet, I forgot all about e-bay.
Yeah, their is like maybe two guitars out of hte 3 music stores in wilmington that I like, but I don't like them enough to buy them. Any good amp recomendations? I get pretty good out of my Fender 212 combo, so maybe hte fender 412 head and cab would be better? I'm just wondering if it will be exactly the same, just louder then the combo I already have(dunno about how everyone here feels about Fender though). How about the lower crate models? I'm basically looking for a mid-range guitar with set-neck and really nice pick-ups(emg's or duncan or something of that sort) I don't really have a preference on what kind of bridge, although a floyd rose would be a nice change for me. Thanks with everything you have already helped me with.

Midrange LTD's aren't bad guitars at all. The 400 series is pretty ideal, but you'd probably be better off going with the 1000's, honestly.

![]() Here's my MM Stingray with my Fender. I have a Yamaha BB200, but it's a piece of shit, and two acoustic guitars, both pretty good. Recently sold a PRS w/soapbars, and I'm saving up for a Warwick Thumb bolt-on. I also have a Korg SP-200 keyboard. Amp wise I have a Roland Bass Cube and a shitty Behringer bass amp which I'm trying to replace with a Gallien Krueger half stack. EDIT: Effects wise I have a DOD FX25B Envelope Filter. Needless to say I play bass predominantly. |

The band that you have linked in your profile IS absolutely terrible and you have a shit attitude, but I'll give advice anyways, I'd go with the RGA. More body mass = richer tone. I like the pickup config more than the S, and the RGA is neck thru so if you're doing solo guitar, it's helluva more comfortable. Also, neck thru helps with sustain. Go with the Engl Invader if you have the money. The Bogner has a very wide-open, ballsy tone but isn't a very tight amp from what i hear, so doesn't suit well for tight riffing. I owned an Engl Powerball a while back and they make great amps for the style...Absolutely zero tube lag, low end is tighter than your asshole, and the Invader is EL34 powered (which I prefer) so I'm guessing it sounds absolutely amazing. Suck my dick. |

thanks a lot man, ya I know im a noob so I guess I dont have the right to bitch, but ya the link was to my band so sorry if we are terrible ill try my best to write better shit, but thanks for the advice, I was thinking the same about the gutar sitch considering the rga is a neck through so ill have a lot more sustain and since it has 24 frets, but it was the whole amp deal the was confusing me, I bought my amp off of jfac so their guitarist could get a bogner and since he got it ive been in love with the bogner. I recorded with a engl savage on our recordings and loved it and found out they made the invader so ive been really confused about what to do. Thanks for the help |

I don't remember what the price was...I think somewhere around $2600...Quite a bit cheaper than the Bogner for sure. If you want a 6L6 powered Engl amp, though, check out the Engl Powerball or the Blackmore...The PB is $1850 and the Blackmore is $1520. Or you could just ante up and get a Savage for $2200. Check out www.rocksolidamps.com ...That's where I bought my Powerball from. Probably the best service of any internet retailer on the face of the earth.
Dunno anything about VHT cabs but they make a fuckin RAD amp...The pitbull I think it's called? Sounds awesome. |

the s2170fw uses a shitty wood for the top called "poplar"... don't be fooled by its boutique burled appearance, poplar is a terrible wood when it comes to tone. if you must purchase a new, korean-made S prestige... get the one with a bubinga top (but preferably buy an older Japanese prestige S).
Ugh, I feel dirty for helping someone from such a terrible band, though...

These genres should stop being mixed
Metal / Death Metal / Hardcore oh and breakdowns are not what make hardcore.
