Anyone?

Honestly, growing up I wasn't into sports at all. My mom took me to Pistons and Tigers games when I was younger and I was always bored. But as I've gotten older I think it's really the only thing (and the NBA) on TV that can keep my attention since there's hardly anything good on TV anymore. I don't remember anything about the Lions best days. All I can remeber is the past three seasons which are some of their worst. People around here are really excited that this could be a better year, but I'm not really getting my hopes up. I'll still watch them, but I'm not expecting much.

I think a lot of people are excited about the Lions. It sucks that Fairley is going to miss some time, but him, Suh, and Vanden Bosch should be fun to watch, along with the combo of Stafford and Calvin Johnson. If Stafford stays healthy and the secondary and running game improve, the Lions will be good.

Watching LeGarrette Blount highlight reels is making me feel a lot better about picking him 3rd in my draft yesterday. The guy is an absolute beast. I have him, Brady, and Roethlisberger, while still being able to start Kolb in an "OP" position. I like that team.

and LOL at the punch at the end xD

^^ I just found out about this. Here he is owning his own defense, and then punching a guy in the face, again. I just don't think he likes white dudes

Picked a fantasy team yesterday. Me and my bro are sharing;
Tony Romo (hate all you want, when healthy he puts up stats and we're Cowboys bias)
Frank Gore
Felix Jones
Andre Johnson
Wes Welker
Percy Harvin (as flex RB/WR option)
Dallas Clark
Jets D'
Mason Crosby

I'm excited.

Good players, but most of them seem to be injury-prone. I almost picked Romo cos of his receivers, but I chose Roethlisberger because I think he'll end up with more points.

haha, I also had that option between Ben and Tony...but again, Cowboys bias and I hate the Steelers.

we refused to pick any division rivals, ESPECIALLY the Eagles.

Yeah, but I think majority of players are injury prone these days. I have Jay Cutler on bench so if the new O line for the Cowboys turns out to be a disaster we can fall back on him.

super excited for this season feels like its been forever since the last time i watched football. im a dolphins fan and so far this season is looking like it will be shit. the defense looks good but they dont have a line or qb and now reggie bush is the main back. Pretty excited to watch the loins rip shit up this year if they can stay healthy since i have liked them since i was small. And that seahawk victory over no in the playoffs last year was one of the biggest upsets i have ever seen.

I think I heard something on the local news about Vanden Bosch and his neck injury. Last I heard it's gotten more serious and he might miss some games.

Redskins fan here, after the preseason my expectations went from around 2 wins to maybe 6. Either way I'm used to it between them and every other DC team.

I was at cowboy stadium last week for the LSU game, didn't see any $90 pizza but water was $6 that seems ridiculous but not too much more than what I'd expect from any NFL stadium

Actually Romo is a decent fantasy QB if you look at his stats over the past 4-5 years. Minus last season when he got hurt of course.

Not sure if you're just ignorant or don't watch football.

but, '07-08 97.4 passer rating, 4211 yards 36 TDs
'08-09 92 passer rating, 3500 yards 26 TDs injured and missed a few games
'09-10 98 passer rating 4483 yards 26 TDS

Romo's career passer rating - at 95.5 - ranks fourth-best all time

in terms of fantasy football these would be more than acceptable.

1605 Yards and 11 TD's in 6 games last season too with a rating of 94.9. Not bad considering everything.

Hate the Cowboys all you want, call Romo a choke artist..but he puts up stats.

Anyone looking forward to the season opener tonight? I'm as giddy as a schoolgirl and it'll be a fun game to watch.

Lol as a life-long Jets fan, the Pats make me sick and there was nothing better than beating them last year in the playoffs (besides maybe actually winning a superbowl). Its a great rivalry but nothing sucks more than have Bill Bellichick and Tom Brady in your division especially when the pats seem to pick up everyone the Jets cut (James Ihedigbo, Shaun Ellis, and worst of all Danny Woodhead)...

Anyway, yeah I'm excited for the season opener tonight although I dont really care who wins, just hope Rodgers has a great game cuz hes my fantasy QB haha. Most excited for sunday nights game, looking promising for the Jets considering both the Cowboys starting corners and RT went down in practice this week.

The game today was awesome, just sucks I had to miss the 4th Quarter due to work. Rodgers is inhuman

Watching Kid Rock's unbearable performance with the USA flag in the background during the pregame show made me realize why the sport isn't popular outside this country, lol. Actually, I'm fine with that. Europeans can have their soccer.

Oh, and apparently Peyton Manning had another surgery and is expected to miss 2 months.

Great game but it really showed how much of a killer this new kickoff rule is. Way too many touchbacks.

Brees did more than Rodgers. I wish I had drafted Greg Jennings again.

last nights game was awesome. the new kick off rule doesnt seem to hurt too much they had one run back for a 108 yard touchdown by Cobb and Sproles had a number of good kick off returns.

also fuck drafting peyton manning for my fantasy league hahaha

Kickoffs have been moved from the 30 to the 35 yard line. Kickoff teams also no longer get the same running start. I guess in theory the deeper kicks are offset by the coverage teams slower start and there will be less injuries. Not in theory, it will be much less exciting.

My new work schedule doesn't allow me to watch any football games this year, besides Sunday night football. Unless I can find a site that streams games, I'm stuck with the shitty game trackers :(

I got really close to getting into a drunken fight at a bar with some fag over a petty football argument. He couldn't get his mouth off of Michael Vick's nutsack, and I can't stand bandwagon fans. Man, to see the look on the cop's face having to explain that LOL

My fanhood is as follows:
1. Chicago Bears
2. Pittsburgh Steelers & Philly Eagles
3. San Diego Chargers

also, Mike Vick is the greatest player in NFL history.

Other players didn't think so either, until he broke out last year. Warren Sapp said that when Vick played for Atlanta, he was the joke of the league, and other teams loved playing against him. Can't deny how amazing he was last year though, but he's not really a QB that I trust
