Wondering about your opinions on Nespite, the demos
Finally got around to listen to the demos from 1992 and I have to say, they sound a lot better than the mud that is Nespithe. About the only thing that would make me prefer Nespithe is the vocals. Am I alone in this or not? I'm all for an album with extra character in the production but damn is it hard to tell what the hell is going on.

I prefer to listen to the demos, yeah.
I'm actually thinking of chucking Nespithe in Pro Tools and maxing the fuck out of it, because it's mastered so very quietly. I'm all for artistic intention, but when it makes it difficult to listen to, I feel the need to remedy the problem. Keeping headroom is one thing, but having a 100 story building worth of headroom is pointless. |
