It was the album that introduced me to one of the best bands ever. And watching Bud puke to Deadest of the Dead live ,,, was beautiful.:p |

Gore Metal.
i like the demo stuff on the Platters of Splatter more than all the full lengths. but if i had to choose a favorite full length it'd be Gore Metal, Ross Sewage does some sick vocals. |

Right now, Anatomy is Destiny is my favorite, followed by Gore Metal then Slaugthercult.
But ever so often...my hunger grows and only a healthy dose of auditory bashings served up on a Platter of Splatter will do :) I love hearing the boys in Exhumed singing "Material Girl" ![]() |

OOO boy that's a hard one.
Well I love all their stuff 1.) Gore Metal: The production sucks. And it's pretty raw. However it holds some major classics like "Necromaniac" "Open the Abcsess" "Casketcrusher" and others. Hmm if the production was a little tighter this would be my favourite. The Guitar work was good but a little toooooo distorted. Vocies were good. Matt's voclals were a little too high pitched but never the less cool.Mike's and Ross' growls were alright too. The drumming is in need of some improvments. 2.) Slaughtercult: Well this album's production was a little louder and clearer than Gore Metal's but still a little distorted. This album holds some of my favourite songs like "Deep Red" "Decrepit Cresendo" "Forged in Fire (Formed in Flame)" "A Slave to the Casket" and maney others. The guitar work is amazing. Really catchy songs. The vocals are a lot better. However the growls had WAY too much bass on them. When they happen they drown everything out and cause my walls to shake even more. So it was a little anoying. The drumming is amazing. 3.) Anatomy is Destiny: The production is crystal clear. It makes me wonder why Exhumed does'nt put out a best of and re-record all the Gore Metal and Slaughtercult hits with this production. The song's guitars and singing are so catchy I find my singing in the shower or walking down the street. LOL The Vocals are the best yet. Understandable but still brutal. And the lyrics are not too straight forward, there's some well written songs. The solos accually have melodies again like they did in Gore Metal and not just doing wammy bar dives and tremelo city. The drumming kicks ass too. They accually have a rather creepy intro and outro. Reminded me of the one in Slayer's Hell Awaits. The children's vocals are creepy too but they should have had a second time to come in. It's hard to choose. Gore Metal is not my fav. Slaughtercult is great and so is Anatomy is Destiny. So before I strain myself I will say my answer. Anatomy is Destiny! It holds a whole new future for our friends. And personaly I see them as being the new Slayer. |

I absolutely adore all the four Exhumed records that I own. Tough call for sure to pick one best off the classic quartet I cherish. Ok, I'd say 'Slaughtercult' edges out the rest. 'AiD', 'Gore Metal' are superb and I really love the 'Platters of Splatter' record too. So, Slaughtercult it is, for the sake of voting.
