oh yeah, we did have this discussion.

re-record? overkill. Don't pull a george lucas, just make it audible. just an IMO, but whatever. I guess this means no time this decade, oh well.

I picked DBW but I think they are both great for different reasons.

Matt, re-record it with undergained guitars with lots of mids and superior note definition. RICE will love that :P

I'm getting some sick tones outta my amp these days, couldn't be happier. Its gonna need to be retubed after all the abuse I've been putting it through this year. Now that Dan is using the Invader our tone is massive together.. I think. Anyway, yeah.. I'd still use lots of gain to re record ATB, and a little more scooped than I would normally. I would want to sortta stay true to the original. But, trust me it would be a world of improvement. Maybe I could get Zack to mix it. .

ATB. I fucking loved this album from the first time I listened to it. Every time I listen to Thought Beyond Infinity, the drum intro and everything about it just makes me stoked!

*cough, cough*

Uhh, Matt, now that both DB and Suffo are on the same labeeeel... How about instead of re-recording ATB you talk some sense into Derek, goddamn, Boyer and get him to finish writing/recording that Deprecated album? Smack him over the head with a skillet a couple of times, find a drummer (KC?), plow through some haystacks and dig out AJ or something. Someone needs to take action, and you're the only one that seems qualified for this. No really, if not you, who else? Greg Laff is the only other person still around, but aside from running teh Deprecated myspace he doesn't seem to be doing much.

Why am I posting this? Well, the tinniest prospect of hearing new Deprecated material > You using your br00dle time* up for the ATB re-recording.

*br00dle time = whatever Disgorge riff-powah is left in you these days. ;)

Soo ummm... Who's with me?!

DBW all the way... Everything is better, but if for nothing else, the drumming alone! I like the mix better, the songs are just all around better written, Bill's voice is as solid as ever, and Matt let's loose with his guitar skills a lot more. I hope Matt and gang keep going with the current direction!

ATB was the album [when it finally clicked with me] that made it ok to listen to Cali-DM again after i renounced it during my razorback/goregrind-phase.

Surprised the poll was so close, I see a lot of DBW fanboyz over the months here, figured it'd be more of a 90% DBW 10% ATB.

That's because ATB is a brutal album which is brutal music for brutal brain dead motherfuckers!
And we got a lot of those on the forum
