Beginner Acoustic Guitar suggestions?

So Christmas is coming up and my girlfriend of nearly 5 years, has been dabbling with one of my acoustics quite a bit over the past 3 months and has always wanted to start playing. She's been wanting a guitar for a while so I figured her Mom and I could go in on one together. I've been playing for a long time now that I think of it, but I haven't bought a new acoustic guitar in like 6 or 7 years.

Our budget is $350-400. I've been looking around and have seen quite a bit of really nice ones for even lower than that so I know they are out there. Any of you guys have any suggestions? I'll post what I have been looking into.

Takamine G Series G 340 which is $249.00

Washburn WD15S which is $300, and a few other Washburns similar to it

The only acoustics I have are some no name Alvarez which was my first acoustic I got when I was like 14, and then my Ibanez Artwood (not sure of the model, do not have it here at my house) which I think was around $250. I play them both a lot and they are decent, I'm just not up on the whole acoustic game right now.

is buying a used guitar out of the question because it's a gift? (understandable)

i bought a fender for under $300 new 4 or 5 years ago and it always played OKAY then i cleaned the fretboard and put on really good strings and it plays really well. im also not very much into the acoustic game though (or guitar buying game in general)

I personally love playing on Ovation guitars, and they are reasonably priced for how nice they sound (imo). I also really like the way that they are shaped, which makes playing while sitting down feel a lot less awkward (also, imo).

Plus, if they are good enough for Robert Fripp, then they are perfectly fine for me.

Yea sorta. I mean I wouldn't mind doing it for myself, but I'd rather get a new one for her.

I was looking at some Fenders. I have played a few and wasn't really impressed with them at all to be honest. What model is yours?

I like Ovations too but I kinda wanna get a nice standard acoustic though, ie wood and everything haha. Nothing against Ovations though, they are really nice and play great.

I have had an Ibanez AEG10NE nylon string for about 5 years...it's $300 new I think? Recommended.

For affordable guitars that perform well, Seagull makes pretty good stuff in my experience.

These are cheap and they are excellent guitars. They also look really nice for the price.
