Based on your favorites in this thread I can't say I'm surprised. Not sure what's doing it for me on it. I like some of the variety but I see the samples getting old quick. That Iniquitous Deeds is sweet.

Very cool interview. The Disentomb album last year was my first exposure to NSE. I ordered Embodied Torment and Iniquitous Deeds after seeing the recommendation on the previous page the other day.

Sick! NSE has definitely been killing it lately...

I stopped buying CDs a little while ago but I've definitely put a few dollars through their Bandcamp (which is my preferred digital purchasing option).

Very good questions and insight into NSE. Daniel has a great vision and passion for BDM.

Iniquitous Deeds really caught me off guard, wasn't expecting much and I really dig the album. Embodied Torment is sick too obviously, hear some Immolation esque riffs mixed in which is really cool.

I just wish NSE did more vinyl, I don't really collect cds.

Re: Brutal death metal anno 2015

Funny reading this Dan guy talking about "breathing life back into the genre by removing the modern production style of sampled/quantized drumming" and a mere 50 seconds into that Delusional Parasitosis song the protooled to shit double bass kicks in.
A lot of what the guy is saying looks fine on paper but, emotion and intricate songwriting in Brutal Death Metal? Gimme a fuckin' break, had to stop reading there.

Re: Brutal death metal anno 2015

Just realized the NSE albums won't be shipping until July 3rd. I would have realized that when I ordered if it wasn't written in that illegible font under the tour banner. lol

I like the lyrics to the first track on the Skinless album. Much emotional, very identify.

I don't mind emotion or 'intricate' song writing in Death Metal, as long it's not some Oprah-fest.

Add Iniquitous Deeds to the never-ending list of bdm bands that sound awesome but have a snare that makes their album a chore to listen to

Really digging newest Incinerate album.. both guitar and drums have killer tone and execution, darren cesca is a beast!

Also, great riffs all over, with some really remarkable moments. Good to see they are still going, it's been a while since Anatomize.

Eh? Neither do I. I was specifically talking about Brutal Death, where imo, emotion basically doesn't exist and almost no one composes songs.

I don't think you have a clue what you're talking about. From someone who knows Dan personally, he refuses to use anything with fake drums. And Alex from DP is a monster, and I can promise you those drums are very real.

I thought the snare sounded good. awesome album anyway, I really dig the riffs and the overall "atmosphere" of the record. yeah, Lichtbringer, I'm looking at you

Re: Brutal death metal anno 2015

I like Brutal Death with atmosphere, like Brodequin. Applying categories such as "emotional" and "intricate" just seems like missing the point to me.
