I am surprised to find myself typing this but the new War From A Harlot's Mouth album is a big highlight of the year, although I am unsure if it will be a top 10 for me. Be ready for it.

Agreed. Coyote is a very challenging listen. I can't say I enjoyed it too much :(

Really? I listened to them years ago, but they seemed like one of those bands that would only get worse as time went on.

Transmetropolitan was awful, but everything else has been decent. In Shoals had its moments and the early Molotov Solution split was sick.

I dunno. I mean, the songs are good, but the album overall was a pretty boring listen. For hardcore, it's fine I guess, but I don't think it belongs in a more general. "best release" list.

new album sounds like Solace. Transmetropolitan was one of the worst things of all time and the fact they made this new LP as good as it is is ridiculous.

Hardcore was way better last year (actually music was a little better last year).

Trash Talk and Ceremony's new albums were both letdowns IMO
Cruel Hand was boring
Integrity was good but it's the same old, same old with them

Black Breath, Nails, and Dangers are the only bands with full lengths that I really liked...Early Graves was pretty good too along with Trap Them's EP and Comadre's split

I can't even think of anything else worth mentioning.

Mind Eraser/Slang split was great. And I agree with most of what you said. There is still a lot of good shit coming in 2010, though.

Still waiting for that Pulling Teet/Irons split. I guess Gorguts will be next year, but I am mostly stoked for that.

Yes, forgot about Pulling Teeth putting out new stuff. Unless they completely change their sound that will be one of my highlights for hardcore this year.

The Carrier seriously needs to release new material, it's been like 2 years since anything.

Yeah, Year One was fucking awesome. Hopefully they change shit up...the whole melodic hardcore/post-rock thing is cool and all, but it'll get old if they keep doing it.
