Everything people have read and tell me about this movie, say that critics are calling it a true original idea... I see too many parallels to Dark City ... regardless of this, I still want to check it out.

That's strange because I was thinking the same thing but I didn't know why, because the story has absolutely nothing in common with Dark City from what I can tell, but I was reminded of that movie when watching the previews. I can not fucking wait to see this movie.

Work so early in the morning, will be catching this tomorrow and again on Monday. I've read multiple reviews that say it necessitates repeat viewings. And I think Nolan is the only director I've been willing to fork money out on multiple viewings in recent years. Saw The Prestige a bunch, Dark Knight at least 3 times, and Memento is my favourite film, period.

One of the worst movies I've ever seen. Plot was extremely contrived and unrealistic. It made absolutely no sense and the acting was just awful. Don't waste your time/money.

Movie was really, really good. I can't wait to see it again. It'll take a few days to totally sink in so the mass of information the movie forces upon you makes more sense but it's easily one of the most unique and incredibly thought out movies in a long time. There's like three different emotions you're feeling throughout the movie all at once and at certain points those emotions are totally in focus.

Like...one point you'll be like 'holy fuck that's awesome'. And then other points you want to cry and at other points you're just trying to remember how the fuck this is all happening and why.

It's like three different emotions due to three different styles of cinema merged into one movie.

But aside from the mental rape, the entire thing is just enthralling... its almost 3 hours long, yet it only felt like half that... took me forever to piece everything together though
