Easily most agonizing show ever. Love every moment of it. The new episode tonight was awesome and expect the rest of the season to be top notch!

Been a fan since the airing of the first episode of the series. Best show on TV.
REALLY digging this Small Town Security so far as well. Great documentary style with some interesting folks. |

OH damn./.. good call. That'd be cool. Anyone here think hank is gonna be forced to kill walt? or try at least? I think that was my gfs prediction and she's damn good at that kinda shit.
and does anyone else want to see walts kid dead? I kinda do. I can't stand him when he talks. And yes, I know he's for real. :) |

From what I've read, he's not for real; well, not entirely. He actually has a very mild form of cerebral palsy. Vince Gilligan wanted an actor that actually had it so they would be more natural in the role, but yeah, his swagger is fairly overblown.
If anything he serves as a reminder to eat your breakfast. ![]() Onto Hank killing him, I'm not too sure. I think Hank is going to be killed as a result of Walt fucking up as usual and his last moments will be the epiphany that it was him all along. A poker reference will surely come into play. My theory is that he will be in the same place where the series started, only everyone he loves is dead and this time the gun he puts in his mouth is loaded. I haven't watched ANY of this season yet, but I've heard about Skyler coming unhinged and needing to die. Suicide would be a great way out, and it'd shift the spotlight onto Walt in a very uncomfortable and inconvenient way. Honestly, his luck has played way too far out in his favor when it comes to avoiding getting caught over shit, like blowing up the Camaro for the fuck of it. Vince Gilligan puts a shit-ton of foreshadowing in, how many times have there been subtle details, props in the background that allude to future events. They're all there, and it's scary how if you pay attention a lot of these things pop out on re-watches of the whole past seasons. It's amazing how subtly recursive the show is. Honestly, I don't know what to expect. All of the endings that everyone's speculated over... I wonder what Vince is going to do to put a close to it. Is he going to leave us hanging as David Chase did with the Sopranos? (Did Tony die of a heart attack or was he killed by a hitman?) I trust him not to go the JJ Abrams route in Lost and say it was all just a dream in a goddamned dog's head or whatever the fuck it was. |

Dude that's funny... i came up with the exact same idea = hank finding out about walt before he dies somehow. BUT, hanks gone through so much so far... why would vince almost kill the guy only to have him die off in the end? |

You take a man who at first glance is cocky as shit, thinks he knows the game, and and is on top of it, however he's got no clue just how deep of shit he is in. He is something of the antagonist. Everyone favors Walt, they want him to win this game. Hank is obnoxious, he needs to go away. As the season progress, you see Hanks character flaws easily, but there's cracks in the porcelain that reveal itself subtly, things you don't see until he's been broken both physically and mentally. Sometimes it's obvious, sometimes it's not but it's all there. At the point where he's been physically broken as much as he has been emotionally, there's nothing more than a shell of a man, and in here is where his character gets complex. He's come to face hard truths about himself, and resigned himself to the notion that he's not the BAMF he liked to believe he was. The very thing that he lives and breathes, the game he was in, it had beaten him. He lost. We as humans feel sympathy when we see the plight of a person as it unfolds. We have an intimate picture of a man knocked down to nothing, all his pride and arrogance gone, and his wife has to wipe his ass for him because he can't even do that. At this point this is where Walt starts to lose it, on a grand scale. It's where the resentment for him is starting to develop because he's going against everything that he should be doing to keep his house in order. Soon Hank is back looking at shit, indifferent to it at first. But he's a cop at heart and he loves what he does. That first piece that gets his attention, you saw a small fire ignite. That's where it all changes. The shift was gradual but deliberate. Vince put all the pieces there for you to get you on Hanks side, and in the moment where you see him with his boss and former partner (IIRC) pointing out Gus's picture with his walker that flame has gone to full blaze, and he's got us on his side. Walt being a massive fuckup only cements this. I'm staying away from this latest season which is hard as fuck to do, but with the Salamanca family out of the way and the mexican drug lord and his cartel all dead, not to mention Gustavo Fring who has some sort of ties in another country that hasn't entirely been fleshed out, who killed everyone? This is huge, and something very out of the ordinary is going on. If and when Hank dies, it's going to be huge and the effect it has will be profound because he will be the only one who knows just what the fuck is going on, and only at that point in time. He knew and all the while he had no fucking clue. It won't matter for Walt at that point, though because everything will have collapsed with no chance to repair. I'd like to believe that Hanks epiphany will affect Walt more than any other death around him. Anyways, all of this gives a grand scale to Hank as a character, and you've been taken through a range of emotions with him. Really it's not that different with any character in the show, other than the breakfast boy for the most part. Well there is Marie, about the only time I ever felt bad for her is when she'd try to help Hank and he'd shut her out. Short lived though, still an obnoxious cunt. Come to think of it, I'm of the mind that if anyone lives, it will be Jesse. This is what I love about this show. There's just no way of knowing what's going to play out. The sheer mass of quality to quantity ratio is by far superior to nearly any other show I've ever seen, and the effort in to letting the characters' actions speak more for them than any amount of dialogue... The ending is going to be almost cathartic in ways, because you just don't fucking know, and crazy thing is that all the signs are likely littered all the way through the entire series, just waiting to be found. |

I'm starting to get kinda pissed with this show. That last hiatus left me needing to practically watch season 4 again which almost required season 3 to rewatch and so on... see the trend? THEY TAKE WAY TO FUCKING LONG BETWEEN SEASONS. And now we got 2 whopping more episodes until we have to wait until NEXT SUMMER? With the amount of dialogue in this show and its very ADHD unfriendly nature, I'm finding it almost impossible to remember where the fuck I'm at with it and this is one show where you can't just watch an episode here and there and get it. I've been hooked since I stumbled upon the first episode catching the entire thing and I'm telling you I had to keep asking my girlfriend what the fuck stuff meant and we both ended up needing to rewatch stuff. I thought they took too long with the last hiatus, I don't think I can do another like that. Because of this, I'm going to have to wait until this series is over, buy the rest of the boxsets and just watch the entire thing over again to really be able to keep up. Too busy to devote this much brainpower into what's going on on this show.
