Recording software
PUMPED. Just got a macbook and I have like 4 albums of black metal influenced shoe gaze written. Just need to begin recording. I'm getting my tax return back soon. Friends I know use Logic Pro and whatnot...I have Protools SE and it blows imo. What's not so expensive but easy to use and good recording software you recommend I purchase?
Keep in mind...it's ultimately black metal. It doesn't need to sound amazing...at all. But also I don't want it to sound like absolute garbage.

Reaper. It's about $60 but you can download a trial that never expires. Plus, it is highly customizable and people have presets that make it function like other DAWs.

logic is the best, but reaper will do if you dont want to spend the money/download a buggy shitty copy.

warning on logic pro, logic pro 10 is due like any month now
id get one thats like 50 dollars and then get logic pro 10 after its been out for a couple of months

recently got into cubase after switching over from adobe audition. it's pretty tight.

Using an M-Audio Pre to record for Reaper but I can't figure out a way to hear my playback when I record something. I'm such a fucking noob when it comes to this shit.
