Yeah, I know how the song goes and it sounds great to me. I get it, you despise "faggy Children Of Bodom [insert random metal band with synths here] synths" I can point out numerous sections of songs that OTHER instruments have 'dynamic narrative', too. You want to mention predominantly saturated synths albums, try Limbonic Art's Moon in the Scorpio or In Abhorrence In Dementia (which are both sick as hell)

i'm (partially) with the tranny on this one. ITNE is by faaaaaaar the best thing Emperor did and (although i like them) the cheese on their later albums borders the unbearable to me. although i don't think they sound anything like the CoB "synths" that literally sound like my old casio watch alarm.

Fucking lol at the unreflected Dimmu hate here and everywhere. They were a great band, and they have a distinctive and coherent style. Can't really say that of Prometheus, it's a great album, but it's far from flawless, for me a typical example of avantgarde-efforts paying their tolls to coherency and having the usual trying-hard-to-be-avantgarde elements which easily resolve into cheesiness.
