lots of hipsters.

the performance opened up with this old lady reciting an essay about the old israel, the screeching owl / dragon, nietzsche. after that these 2 huge dudes "wrestle" but not really pinning one another. it kinda went on and on, i was hoping something would happen like they would buttfuck each other but nah.

then wold performed. really noisy stuff, the drummer had her drums triggered, the huge china sounded like the Sex Panther from Anchorman, her "bass" drum is a metal garbage can. another dude on the side was doing noise and the main guy was screaming at the mic and between his parts he kept doing gestures which later on i was informed he was performing some masonic rituals and incantations.

also, some dude from the Talking Heads, Antony from Antony and the Johnsons and STOYA was there.

normally i wouldnt be much into this stuff but that drum kit was so fucking awesome. i kept laughing each time the lady hit the china and the makeshift cymbal was basically the outer frame of an industrial fan.

hahah wow. I almost bought their newest cd a few mins ago just cause I remembered this thread and I liked the logo. Glad I didn't cause I wanted "riffs" haha. Pictures?

if you do end up checking them out, LOTMP, screech owl, and stratification are all awesome albums but the newest one is dronier and doesn't have vocals, so i'm a lot less into it.

The show was awesome, but by far the weirdest shit I've ever seen. Seeing that guy walk around like a pro wrestler was pretty funny though.
