OH! I want to be apart of it...

NEW YORK! NEW YORK!

So i will be spending about 9 days in NY between MWFF and MDF, and apart from achieving one of my goals of singing that drunk somewhere, much like my house mate accomplished, ill be wanting to see BANDSBANDSBANDS!

I would assume NY always has a steady flow of shows going on, and during the post-MWFF and pre-MDF/CIMF timeframe, it would be my guess that there would be much more of a smorgasboard of shit going on?

I got jack all idea of where would be the best part to stay in NY, if im wanting to be centralised to clubs/bars/venues that frequent heavy metul acts. Seasoned NYers, i call on you to give me some sort of heads up as far as what area's i should be looking at staying in, what venues are usually consistent for seeing shows, local acts to look out for, online links for a NY music streetpress/zine, etc etc etc.

Cheers big ears!

Brooklyn Vegan is always a good site for upcoming shows in NYC.

BTW, since you're gonna be in the Chicago area for MWFF, you should go to Kuma's Corner for the metal burgers. I go there at least twice a month. I need to get my hands on the Sleep burger before the month ends.
