Nik has got the ball rolling, cheers man.
Hmmm, we might be a bit warsore-ish i guess. I always did really like them so it had to rub off a bit. Plus Erik (the drummer) got me into grind in the first place (when we both played in Egrogsid). We're all really looking forward to coming over to play with Super Fun Happy Slide and Garbage Guts in Melboure the first weekend in October. We recently scored a spot on the bill for Pig Destroyer in Hobart a couple of weeks after that too :D It's off to a good start. |

Nah... I was talking to the Tote, and after stringing it along for 3 weeks they finally told me it was a no go and I then realised that this weekend is right in the middle of Fringe Festival so heaps of venues are all booked up with arty farty stuff... I'm still waiting to hear back from others but I'm not sure what's gonna happen at the moment... very fuckin annoying!
4th is all confirmed though - SFHS, NYF and Garbage Guts @ Pony |

Vomitizer, we're playing a gig this evening with cleanoff and get to finally see DB Call. There's lots of mystery about these guys, since I don't think they use computers and I haven't found a myspace page or links to their music online. Most of what I hear about them is vague from conversations here and there. I think the name DB Call is short for "Dead Body Call". It's a 2 piece featuring AB and Ricey from Intense Hammer Rage. I've been told they have about 2 albums worth of material, and I saw today on another forum, someone posted this which is probably an album cover:
http://img361.imageshack.us/img361/7655/dbcall2dz3.jpg After chasing down my local metal guru (chalky), I managed to get my hands on a 4 track demo cassette. Song titles were: -Shot once stabbed lots -Have knife will cut -My feet steel tipped -An half an arm It's chunky sounding metal. guitar, drums, vox. - - - - - - - - - - - - In NowyourefuckeD news :) We did another recording recently and might be posting new tracks on our myspace site in the near future. There's also some video footage of the set we played from the Pig Destroyer show in Hobart which hasn't been uploaded to youtube yet. It's in some dodgy PC format. I was able to view it allright using the "VLC media player". The video is 21 minutes long. Our entire set. A 200 meg download if any of you can be arsed. It's actually not a bad recording, just recorded straight through the video camera. http://www.megaupload.com/?d=6Z4OLLE6 There is zero mosh pit action. Shame Hobart, SHAME! here's the setlist: - HOMOGESTALT - THE PRICK - FUCK IT I QUIT - DESERVING OF NOTHING - CHEFT - 80’S R DEAD - CRASS CONSUMERISM - CANCEROUS - SCAPE GOAT - BURNOUT - I DON’T BELONG - HALFORD - JOY IN LOSS - I NEED A HIT - RETARDIS (PART 1 & 2) - WAGING WAR - NARNIA My bad because 3 or 4 of those songs have different song titles (I'll edit it when I have them in front of me) Here's a pig gig photo: ![]() Last edited by VstaR; 11-27-2008 at 08:02 PM. |

there's a ten track demo CD.
Check out the myspace page. www.myspace.com/hobartgrindcore more info on DB call for anyone that MIGHT be interested. Had a good chat to them (AB and Ricey) on Sat night. A myspace page is in the making which will have tracks from their first album, "I feel like violent tonight" (no, that's not a typo) and there should also be some live footage. I can post a link here when it's actually up and running. They are still calling this a side project to Intense Hammer Rage. There's apparently a new IHR album all recorded, all that needs to be done is record the bass tracks but this has been on hold for a long time :) I guess it might get released one of these days.
