Mastering question

So basically I've got these tracks I recorded that I'd like to have louder and I have no clue how to go about it.
Any help?

Yeah go for it. My work schedule is beginning to die down, and I just set up some LENRD bass traps. :)

@ F0RBIDDEN: I recorded the stuff in Audacity. Exported that shit as WAV and we mixed it in GarageBand. Stuff is way too silent though.

@ Ouroboros: If you're willing to give it a shot, I'd gladly upload the stuff for you and send you a link. It's 8 songs, around 17 minutes. Just tell me what you need.

If I'd be supposed to send you guys like all tracks for every song we've recorded, I think it's going to be way too much work. I was basically looking for an option to make a mixed track louder...

Yeah, just upload the mixed down .wav files of each separate song and PM me the link/s.

I won't just raise the gain to increase the volume, I'll try to make it sound better and make sure the songs are cohesively similar in their frequency spectrums.

Oh and one more thing: The sound of everything is pretty bad I'd say, but tolerable for a home recording sort of thing. Just to prevent you from being overly shocked. ;)

The recording quality isn't that bad. Drums could be louder overall. Some compression could beef them up. But, perhaps they will have more impact when I compress/limit the entire mix. Also, the whole thing could use some more bottom end.

But yeah, give me a couple days and I'll send you the mastered tracks.

Yeah, the drums should have definitely been mixed a little louder. So, shall I crank the drums up a bit and upload again or are you already getting started?
