One more day until the season begins! I know who most of you are probably pulling for...but shit, let's throw 'em up.

Bruins...young as hell team this year...hopefully they get some magical team chemistry brewing, haha.

Another mediocre year for the Leafs is what's on tap!

In fact, most of the teams I cheer for are looking pretty dire this year... Thrashers [some are picking them to be last in the Southeast], Nashville [lost Kariya, Forsberg, Vishnevski, Timonen, Hartnell, Vokoun to free agency or trades, and have Steve Sullivan injured], Buffalo [lost Briere and Drury]... Minnesota may have improved, slightly, but not enough for a big jump. Toronto is the same way - lost O'Neill, Peca, Aubin, gained Blake, Bell, Toskala. It's an improvement - but by how much?

The Sens are the exception. Hopefully they can pick up where they left off last year and continue to dominate.

Every year I hope the Panthers do well, mainly because they practice only 30 minutes away from me. And then I remember that FL hasn't seen natural ice (not to be confused with the beer) since the 70's and my hope dies.

People could see Philly coming. I know I did, I drafted all of them in my fuckin fantasy pool haha

I personally am more delighted by the utter failures that Gomez and Drury have been for the Rangers.

Minnesota is still unbeaten in regulation, and they have something like four shutouts already this year. They always seem to start off well, though, and then go on a big losing streak late in the year.

Sadly, the Leafs suck fucking ass and are actually worse than last year, despite adding a 40 goal scorer and getting a good goalie.

Nationwide Arena is a nice place, and had a great atmosphere for the period of hockey I was able to see there. The surrounding area was awesome, too.
