A Northern Chorus - Bitter Hands Resign
Sorry dudes, I keep finding awesome music on this blog that I feel compelled to share haha.

This band is fucking incredible...just listen.

Jotun 05-11-2009 11:07 PM

DUDES, no joke, this album is a goddamn masterpiece...and I only reserve that for a handful of them. I haven't been this moved by an album since Takk... came out.

"Don't Think Of Collapse"...<3!!!!!!!!!!!!!

cloudscollide 05-11-2009 11:34 PM

I have one of their albums...not sure if it's this one but I always thought it was kind of boring.

Jotun 05-12-2009 11:15 PM

Yeah, this album definitely requires some patience to listen to...but only because it's very soft at times. The songs don't really stop moving. And god damn are there some juicy rewards if your ears keep their attention.

TheFireSKy5150 05-13-2009 12:40 AM

ill give it a shot. genre?

Jotun 05-13-2009 12:58 AM

I dunno man...I hate to just call it post-rock because it's not fair to them and I'm fucking tired of using that genre to explain bands haha, and because they actually write songs with structure as opposed to a single giant crescendo built on the same progression, and the vocals are a huge part of the sound (there are tons of eloquent harmonies too)...I'm never good at explaining what a band sounds like haha. The drumming and basslines throughout the album are absolutely phenomenal and nothing is overdone.

Subject & Matter, Costa Del Sol and Don't Think Of Collapse are my favorite tracks.

Iain Avstin 05-13-2009 12:03 PM

I'm liking this a fair amount, though I think the vocals are a little weak.
