News on Anathema

Sounds very positive!

Incidentally, I've always placed GC and Anathema together in my mind, as both have released life-changing music that's somehow failed to take hold commercially and have consequently had a rough time.

Very pleased that things are looking up for Anathema...

I have been an Anathema fan for many years, but I have to say the direction they took on their last 2 albums was quite disappointing for me, especially after 2 milestone albums (A4 and Judgement), though I still like A Fine Day To Exit, A Natural Disaster gets very little airtime chez Maison Tinus...

The last few times I have seen Anathema live, it has been quite disappointing, so I really hope they lock themselves in their rehearsal place and get those songs nailed like concrete. Especially John's drums were disastrous at those shows, he gradually grew worse over time, not many musicians achieve that so I wonder how he did..

Anyway, I'm definitely planning to see Porcupine Tree in Amsterdam December 5th, so let's see how Anathema does then...
