Hey people I am curious , In what order would you place your alchemist records, Most fave to least fave:cool: This is my list:oddgrn:

1 Tripsis
2 Spiritech
3 Austral alien
4 Organasm
5 Lunasphere
6 Jar of kingdom

here's my list. With positions 1a & 1b and 2a & 2b I'm not sure in what order to put them. Depends on the time of day
1a Tripsis (red vinyl, blue vinyl, black vinyl, CD :cool: )
1b Organasm
2a Austral alien
2b Spiritech

5 Lunasphere
6 Jar of kingdom

3. AJOK
4. Tripsis

the first 3 albums probably because this is the era I saw them live most - at one point they seemed to play once a fortnight!! ahh good old Terrace days

speaking of the Terrace - hey Adza did you know that Steve Manticore is now in Terrorust (ex-Damaged) - saw him with them a few weeks ago - he's still buff :) - they are playing at Jamo Inn this Sat night

What role dose he play in Terrorrust? i dont think i can make it , im busy tring to re build my studio...Do you still want that viynl?

he's rhythm guitar and had only been in them a week when I saw them

yep definitely keen for the LP and will grab one soon - although have been a bit busy as my sister just gave birth yesterday - now I'm Uncle Geoffy!!! :emot-LOL:

Thanks for your list mate, We are trying to work out what will be the best record to release on viynl, That is me and the Viking are, we both have different ideas , spiritech is most in demand from all that i speak to over the years. But we will wait and see and wait till tripsis sells out on viynl.

Just for the record :wink: , the 'Tripsis' vinyl is selling really good.
Adza and me have different ideas, but that's because it's difficult to decide which of the great ideas will be the next release :cool:
We can also start a new thread, 'which album do you want to be released on vinyl next?' :biggrin:

Rod had asked me the same question in Munich and even though Eric didn't like / believe my answer it still is true which is why I'll repeat it here:
This is like having to choose between my kids!
I honestly cannot do that.
But for the sake of the argument I chose to operationalise this question differently and list the albums in the order I last listened to them:
1., i.e., this was the last album I listened to: Tripsis
2. Organasm
3. Lunasphere
4. Austral Alien
5. Eve Of The War
6. Jar Of Kingdom
7. Spiritech
8. Embryonics

I'll go with Spiritech at No. 1 like most others....

I guess Jar and Lunasphere only make it to the bottom of the list because my musical taste is finally mellowing after all these years!

Actually Lunasphere is a great album, it deserved the spot it got in that list of '100 metals albums you have to hear before you die' many years ago. But I am mellowing, (at last) listening to Queenryche, Megadeth, even Eric Burdon and The Animals lately.

I still love your music, and listen to it regularly, especially now I've got a decent CD player in the car! Can't sing along to it like I can to Dio though.

Speaking of Dio i here that sabbath are playing Graspop fest in belgium inJune , Alchemist have a spot so I hope its the same night!!!, i think the mighty AC/DC are playing as well

Can't give a favourite but Organasm is one of the best driving on an Aussie highway at night albums in existence.

As smooth as the Milky Way yet as heavy as a convoy of semi trailers on a single lane section of the Hume.

Tripsis is getting a good thrash on the turntable though, just haven't tried it in the car yet.

on the turntable? Does that mean you have that beautifull vinyl version of 'Tripsis'?

Yes i've got the beautiful red marble headbanging coloured vinyl, I should get the cd for the car though.

Just annoyed now that I can't remember what I was listening to for any of my speeding tickets.

So how awesome would it be if you ended up supporting Sabbath! I told you to go for that gig when they played down here in August, did you go to the gig? I was at the Brisbane concert, and you would have been a much better opening act than Down. (And Ozzy's here in March)

Sounds like your taste in early rock matches mine pretty much. In Aussie rock I've got the Easybeats first two albums, Skyhooks, Buffalo (of course) The Angels, Rose Tattoo and Blackfeather's 'At The Mountains Of Madness' I was a good friend of John Robinson when Feather recorded that album, worked with him in a bank for a while, roadied for him for a while, jammed bass with him on occasion.

Oh yeah, and there's this obscure band called Alch-something I listen to on the odd occasion.

Can't really say that I got a top 6, but the best ones imo are: Lunasphere, Spiritech and Jar of Kingdom.
I just love the mix between metal and psychedelic on these three albums, and the general weirdness and chaos on JoK.
The other albums are pretty good, but not as psychedelic/weird as the first ones were, I'd love to hear a new album sounding like spiritech/lunasphere!

This Is a very hard decison because I like both animes very much but I think I would go with Full Metal Alchemist. I guess because I like the story more even though Bleach has a great story too but I like FMA. Its more dramatic and every episode something new happens. I think the characters are made better. I like Bleach too a lot but I like FMA a little bit more.

What do you people think??
