Heel Up, is my bet.

He probably uses the 4 pedals for bass drum/remote high hat & fog machine.

At his hyper speeds he uses the heel-up technique (200+bpm) and heel-down at slower speeds (up to 200bpm).

On the dvd, he says he doesn't play heel down. He can play it and does it on the dvd but is was only for demonstration purposes.

I'm pretty sure he uses the "flat foot" technique, which is kind of like a cross between heel up and heel down. Your heel comes off the footboard about an inch or two, and the power comes from lifting your whole leg from the hip flexor muscle.
