Yeah. I got the following text between my wrist and elbow: "Life is but a dream for the dead". That was my wake up call. It is a part of lyrics of a song... I was really not living anymore and that sentence got me thinking about how this is the only life we get and how one should make the most of it. I changed my life into something better and now have that text there to remind me.
My next tattoo is going to be something similar to that. I've been thinking a lot about how stagnant my life and most people's lives are so i'm thinking of getting "Settle for Nothing" in swoopy cursive letters but i don't know where i'd get it. I just really like the double meaning of the phrase. It's equally inspirational and depressing.

You know...settle for nothing as in, "you're not going to get what you want so just accept the fact" and "don't become content with life to the point that you stop striving to make it better." I got it from the Rage Against the Machine song of the same name. The lyrics of that song are so bad ass. One of my all-time favorites.
