drum talk, ONCE WAS NOT drum specs

alright, im completely floored by the drum tone on this album. it just sounds, perfect. if anyone here can post info on the drum set used (i know he uses pearl, but exactly what kind), drum heads, choice of mic and mic techniques, or anything regarding the drum recording process involving this album, heres the thread for it. and i apologize in advance if you guys already had this discussion but i did not see it upon browsing this forum. cheers

and what is the shell material used on his masterworks set... maple, birch?

its maple i read it an interview unfortunaly jake shows pictures of a different kit in the studio but it did have his double bass's but the finishes on all the toms were natural wood.
