Sweet! I'd like to know what it was like. I have a VERY hard time imagining it :D

I guess it's a ballet that uses a lot of metal. Sounds interesting at least.

Yeah, it's definitely pretty unique. The same ballet company had a sold-out performance last year, and they used the song "Worship Depraved" from our first cd in one of the dances - we saw a video of it when we were in NY on tour, and it was definitely crazy hearing metal over a ballet performance. This will be especially cool for anyone going though, because Jim will actually be performing "ADFD" live these 3 nights!

Haha, well it's not that I can't be there - from what I was told, having live drums would be way too loud in that type of setting/venue. Plus, live metal drums can be hard to mix properly in a performance setting as is, so if I were to be there, it would probably sound too muddy for the dancers to actually be able to hear what's going on. It'll sound a lot more clear if they just use my tracks from the cd.

Starting next year Jim and I plan to tour like crazy, so we'll be around!

speaking of live drums, that reminds me of something i noticed with arsis live. i've seen them play 4 or 5 times now, and i noticed that the guitars usually get cranked up too high and drown out the drums. i remember that one show at excess by the beach, i honestly could not hear the drums at all. mike, you're one badass drummer, and we need to be able to hear your amazing performance.

Thanks man, I really appreciate that! Yeah it's tough because we're pretty much at the mercy of whoever is running the soundboard - some places do a killer job, other times the mix is terrible haha. Maybe someday we'll have our own soundman, that would rule. I remember that show at Excess, definitely one of my favorite gigs!

I'm guessing you got that add on MySpace also and whatnot? What night's are these shows? I might go, so maybe I'll see you there.
