I like Trivium pretty much, but this song just sounds so.. eeh... gay!!! Maybe because of the clean vocals or something...
You can download it on the site of Trivium by the way ;)

I don't download songs, I download ALBUMS! ;) Downloaded it yesterday and listened it tonight, the guitar harmonies show some Deto-hints.

Um. No. Because they write generic garbage that sounds like everything else from the metalcore wave. Fuck them. The only thing good that ever came out of that band was Heafy doing vocals for Capharnaum.

No, they don't. Why was I thinking 'ANNIHILATOR!!' when I first heard 'Suffocating Sight' if they didn't have a huge thrash influence?

Anyway, can I ask Tinus to delete this thread before it descends into total silliness? It was only a bit of fun, but it seems any Trivium thread on any board, anywhere, will descend into shit-slinging.

Trivium is really a love it or hate it kind of band...I listened to some songs and thought it was ok, but absolutely nothing special whatsoever.

We can use some dirt on this forum, it's way too nice ;).

or change the topic to "It could have been a Detonation thong!"

It could have been a Detonation Christmas song:

to "the christmas song" tune:

Krokets roasting in a frituurpan,
Martijn selling things on e-bay,
Death metal carols being sung by Koen,
and Otto playing with his Macintosh.

Ok I give up... unless someone else wants to continue... Whatever the case, happy holidays guys!

Those guys are f*ckin' supporting Metallica on their upcoming 'escape from the studio' tour, how fast can it go...

start worrying when Metallica are opening for Trivium... (hey if Sepultura can open for In Flames, you never know!)

Metallica don't need to escape from the studio, they need to never return...

metallica is okay, although i don't listen that much anymore to them.. haven't got any ticks for the Arena show, don't want them anymore. the support acts are crap, except for trivium. i think trivium is pretty awesome. those guys are just 19 and 20, and already famous as hell. good job, i guess. support for maiden and metallica.

The new Metallica album will be produced by Rick Rubin, that's pretty interesting, I'm looking forward to hear it. I should be released towards the very end of 2006.

extra maiden support detonation?Such an investment would surely mean the bankruptcy of Osmose ;).

Yes, and there's no therapist involved in the recording of this album (WTF was that all about?)

While I'd like to keep an open mind about the new record as I did when I was on my way to a pre-listening of St Anger (I expected I wouldn't LOVE it, but I thought I'd at least like it, definitely didn't think I'd hate it), I can't help but think it's going to be more of the same.

And yes, I say this as a fan, we own a copy of every single Metallica album (on cassette, vinyl or CD) EXCEPT St.Anger... we don't even own a promo of it.
