Well, I think it's MUCH better than Volcano, which I found to be rather boring..
I don't know all titles, but "A New Enemy" is a great track I think, the third song is good and the titletrack is pretty groovy. I like the atmospheric tracks.
"To The Mountains" is the final track, I like the use of horns/keyboards in it, it's definitely my favourite on it.
I think I'll have to give the album a few more listens before I can judge it properly really...

Well as far as Scar Symmetry goes it's no secret that they're well loved on Sex to 9 (and Diva Satanica now...) I think they're a little bit of every style of metal really, not too much of one thing. Great growling, nice clean vocals, music is melodic, with some guitar virtuoso stuff (but not too much!) some black metal ish bits some more power metal... etc etc... all in all it's a great mixture.
Maria will be airing her interview with Jonas (Scar Symmetry) in about 2 weeks (On April 7th I think to be close to the release date) as well as playing (at least) 3 tracks from the new album :D

NP: Scar Symmetry - Pitch Black ProgressI do, but one needs working sound on one's PC to do that.. And Tinus doesn't have that for over a year now...
BTW, why did SS give their album almost the same title as Callenish Circle's last album "Pitch Black Effects".. I mean, they must've heard of it.. And then, it isn't exactly an obvious title, let alone 2 bands independently come up with almost the same thing, at almost the same time, weird...
