Single best BLACK METAL album

What is the single best Black Metal (not death, etc., etc...) album in existence? Also, feel free to post others, these are just what I consider to be the cream of the crop, absolute best. By the way, I don't mean classic, I mean best!

What about Battles In The North by Immortal ? I voted for "De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas" cuz it is a great album opposit the others in my opinion.

hmmm. I enjoyed Pure Holocaust more but battles in the north still a decent release. I'd say it's between Pure Holocaust and In The Nightside Eclipse

I voted De Mysteriis... but only because the list didn't have ROOT- The temple in the underworld. Some people may not consider that album to be a pure black metal album but that's what it is to me. It's so obscure,dark, and extremely well written and played. try and check ROOT out especially that album, they are absolutely underrated from Czech, just like master's hammer was.

i like emperor better than mayhem in general but i think that mayhem album is better than emperor's. another good one is

really hard to say since marduk,mayhem,satyricon, and emperor are great bands.abigor never really listened to them but should give a try i think one album thatll make it even harder to choose between is immortal-sons of northern darkness or their pure holocaust cds
