How good was the gig last night? Once again , Alchemist put on a great show. Their sound was amazing once again. Always impressed when I see them live! \m/

Missed the damn show due to unforeseen circumstances. Grrr.

Anyone care to tell me what I missed out on (Alchemist set list)?

In no order, and only some of the ones I remember:

Garden of Eroticism
Road to Ubar
Eve of the War
Yoni Kunda
Enhancing Enigma
Spiritechnology
Chinese Whispers

Much more but someone else will have to fill in. The one thing I didn't get was a set list.

The gig was awesome. I was standing right in front of Roy, and managed to grab the set list at the end:

Unfocused
Chinese Whispers
Yoni Kunda
Spiritechnology
Garden of Eroticism
Great Southern Wasteland
Abstraction
Eve of the War
Enhancing Enigma
Austral Spectrum
Road to Ubar
Solarburn

Anyone know how the Canberra gig went?

Thanks Guys we had a cool time in Sydney, I was feeling a bit under the weather most of the night but the show were great. Huge thanks to Crazy Mary and the Viking for the help on the merch. The Canberra show was really good fun and fully sold out! only a small venue but there was a great vide there, the manager told us it's the best night the Church has ever had! so we are pretty stoked! Looking to be doing more shows in Feb 05.

We have not played escape from the black hole for a few years now, it's often on our list of possibles - Maybe next time.

That's great, man!
By the way: Which way do circle pits turn? Clock-wise or counter-clock-wise? Or are there both versions - one in the northern and the other in the southern hemisphere like these little maelstroms that appear when you pull the plug of a sink or bathtub, e.g.? :-)
I wonder because circle pits are almost unknown in "Germ Money".

Sounds very promising!
But what about "Older Than The Ancients", the "Evolution"-trilogy, or some other stuff from "Lunasphere"? There are so many other great Alchemist-songs ... Your shows are way too short!!! :-)

I was told that they played Evolution trilogy at M4TB in Canberra, as i didnt have Organasm at the time i didnt know it when i heard it.

I agree, their shows are too short!

We used to play evolution trilogy live all the time but it eats to much into the set we have not played it in its entire form for 3 years, we play warring tribes alot but not on this tour, we play 1hr 15 mins for the embryonics set, we think that any longer bores people , i know for a fact that Pink Floyd are one of my all time favorite bands , when i saw them in 89 i loved it but after an hour and a half i was wishing they stopped , they dragged it out for 2 and a half hours , that actually ruined the vibe for me , with music as intense as Alchemist anything over an hour is pushing it in my opinion but hey im glad you want more.
