i got my tickets for the show and there was like a local fest that day so i came back around the time aborted played... i talked to alex about the new cd(10/10) his dimebag guitar etc. while aborted played, i saw lord worm and had to say whats up THIS DUDE LOOKS LIKE AN MIDEVIL VLAD i told him i loved the new cd especialy carrionshine and he "well your hear it" i was like fuck ya...

the setlist was
white worms
carrionshine
bendictive convulsions
abigor
we bleed
the frantic pace of dying
mutant christ
cold beer warm urine
adeste infidelis
phobophile........it was a little short, but i was glad to hear some older stuff/new stuff..

the band is unbeatable live... the new songs were brutal as hell, i watched alexs hands(since i'm a guitarist) and i can tell you he is doing some crazy shit in the new song all kinds of sweeps etc riffs.. flo again was insane i love that kit he plays very tight from what i've heard..alex was amazing a great preformer/soloist. Eric is very close to alex webster man he circular headbangs 24/7 and his bass solo in the adeste infidelis was perfect that shit is so badass like the hammer smashed face bass solo.. LORD WORM like i said before THE best frontman around the guys has so many different wierd movements he was running all around grabbing ppls heads( i grabed his when he grabed my head).. he was whipping his hair on ppl, screaming in our faces... his vocal preformance couldn't get better the guy owns :p the lows, his voice is as good as ever and his highs are very unique... HE DID A OVER 1 MIN. SCREAM ON ADESTE INFIDELIS... it was nuts we were all like damn he can't smoke lol...

In all it was one of the best shows ever... the sound was very good the songs were brutal and lord worm fed me a worm!!!!! guys let me tell you that shit is crazy as soon as it hit my mouth it started going wild then i had it in the back of my throat trying to swallow it whole like worm said to do.. god it was the most fucked up feeling it's was fighting...

I saw them this past april in detroit and it did in fact rule. I cant wait to see them again Oct 28th. Sorta sad to see Flo isnt doing Drum solos in the set list. The one I saw in april was mind boggling.

Again Self Mutilated, I'm stoked that you had a great time watching Cryptopsy fuck the venue up, and thanks for the report and pics! :devil:
I'm very relieved that Christian rose to the occasion. It's also supercool that you got to rap with LW and Alex.
I have to say I'm with you on the setlist: while it may be a bit of a shame not to hear classics like "Slit Your Guts" or "Open Face Surgery," theu have played those tracks (including all of NSV) constantly)... by mixing things up they keep it interesting for themselves and the fans. The last thing you want is for Cryptopsy to turn into Slayer and play the same songs (a few not hearing in the first place) again and again for over a decade!! There are so many killer tracks on "Divine Intervention" that get totally ignored! Do an Entombed, those guys always vary the setlist. But I digress...

It was very cool to see "Abigor" and "Mutant Christ" brought back; it's also interesting to open with "White Worms" and close with the awesome "Phobophile!" Goddam, I really have to plan so I can see them next year. Europe in Feb. 2006.. Hmm, maybe I should wait to go to the UK then.
I have to ask, how intense are the band with regard to headbanging/windmilling. I saw footage of them live with Martin, and Jon, Alex and Eric looked like they could give the mighty Alex Webster and Corpsegrinder a run for their money. I'm glad to hear your neck has recovered!! :)
