I thought that censorship was illegal.

Or maybe that was just something I had a dream about or, ???

Does anyone have the "Immortalised 1986-2000" compilation dvd from Earache? It has some good stuff on there. It was one long month waiting for that fucking dvd.
When I got it home to immediately watch it, the Berzerker's "Reality" video is partly censored.
Only partly, but still censored.

God damn! And sure, it's got gross pictures, but come on! I paid for it I should get the gore, it's not like I didn't even possibly consider maybe six seconds of something that sick in a metal video!

I don't even know where to start on how fucked up that is.

I guess my question is, where do you draw the line with censorship?

And why can't people just not pay attention to what bothers them?
People have a choice to look or not to look, and they have to fixate their attention to, and then loathe the things they cannot accept, instead of carrying on with their own business and being happy.
And better yet, crusade around and make the rest of the world lame. Thanks you assholes.

Hey man i agree, censorship is a joke!!, well with DVDs/CDs/etc that you "BUY" for "PERSONAL" use, its not as if anyones gonna go out and fource people to watch or listen to the shit, even though some people should be fourced.
Anyone can go on the intenet and get pictures/videos/etc of things far worse than a simple music video!!!!. On ogerish.com the video of the american prisoner being decapitated is available!!!! if you can get that and its not censored why cant you get other things uncensored (not that i agree with the video, its just sick and shows just how bad people are!!!).
For instance, the rob zombie film, house of a thousand corpses was only allowed to be shown in porn theartres in some parts of america and the fully un-censored version is in doubt of ever being released in the uk and parts of europe.
Oh and censoring things in only certain parts of the world also increases piracey, of which the same bastards who are responsible for censore-ship moan their arses off about!!!

Hey I agree.

What's worse, is that the same Reality video is uncensored in a Hammer magazine sampler that I have. A sampler that is meant to be given away for FREE with a magazine that anyone can see. This sort of just confuses me I guess.

And what's worse than that! A few years ago I bought a White Zombie cassette at a local Walmart, (yes, I should have known better) and when there is a cussword in I forget which song, they do that thing to it where it sounds like someone "smears" the word so you can't tell what he's saying. What the Fuck is that???

That to me is rape.

Raping it for what it really is. That is the type of censorship that is just totally fucked up, and should be outlawed.
I thought that was what the "PARENTAL ADVISORY" sticker was for, like the rated "R" at the beginning of a movie that tells you what your in for. But that is apparently not enough!

I would much rather have a tiny sticker on the front, or something like that, than raping the whole production.
For example, any of the Cannibal Corpse covers. It used to be "Tomb of the Mutilated" had the same Vincent Locke full cover when it was originally released. Now it has like a fraction of the cover, just showing part of the girls face. And when I bought a Deicide "Serpents of the Light" cd years ago, there was a huge black sticker covering up what is NOT, I repeat NOT the most graphic of cd covers.
I guess this isn't as bad, because they are just covering up the outside, so you can have the true form after you buy it. But still!
This again brings me to why people can't just not look at something that bothers them. --If you are trying to protect your conscience, leave my interests the HELL out of your crusade, bitches!--
