You probably won't believe it, but yes: I finally registered to the new forum :) If we have time on tour, this is the place where we will post our stories. And if we're lucky, maybe even some pictures. Wish us luck, hope to see many of you at one of the gigs!

hope you guys have a good time on tour, and we'll speak when you get back (still need to do an interview!) shame you're not heading down this way :(Even if you would've decided to travel all the way up to Lyon tonight, be glad you didn't cause they're not playing there http://www.smnnews.com/board/images/smilies/pissed.gif. We heard yesterday that apparently only Decapitated and Gorerotted were booked by this venue and it's some kind of festival where also a bunch of other bands booked. Still puzzles me how something like that can happen when you book a tour for 4 bands, but well.. So they can relax, watch the bands today and blast Essen to hell tomorrow.

Another letdown was that the bus appeared to have only 18 beds instead of 20... There was a lot of fuss about that yesterday, there was even talk of throwing one band off the tour, but that option was quickly dismissed cause obviously all band's labels put a lot of money in this tour, so they solved it by taking turns.

Anyway, so far for the bad news, the GOOD news is that I have my digipak CD in my hands finally and it's spinning its first series of turns right now! :) Also the shirts are finished and came out excellently (wearing one right now).

OMG

if I had booked travel and accomodation to go all the way up there, and not see them play, someone would have DIED!

Ok, like some of you already might have heard, Detonation is no longer part of the tour. The situation in the bus was just not safe, there were far too many people in. One band had to go and the promoter decided that would be us. The excact reason why we had to leave, and not DAM, we'll probably never know.

We are trying to rent a van and do as many shows as possible, but we have lots of things to take care of.

We won't be playing following shows for sure:

Liverpool
Brighton
Nottingham
Cork
dublin
Belfast
Glasgow
Oslo
Gothenburg
Copenhagen
Hamburg

At this moment it's very uncertain if we're going to make it to the final 3 shows of the tour in Germany...

Well, that's the sad story. Despite that we had pretty cool shows in Rotterdam and Arnhem, yesterday was a bit boring. Had a really cool afterparty though, with John from Gorerotted smashing a pint glass to pieces on his own head :)

Ok, tomorrow we're in Holland, hope to tell you more then.

I shifted all my dates and I am prepared to travel over 400km to the show in Halle and now you have to cancel these part of the tour.
Really shitty.
So I hope you can play all the other planned gig.

best wishes and I hope to see you soon.

Let us know if you do get to play the Manchester show and I'll try and head across to that one as well as the Liverpool one.Well Beardy, as Otto wrote, they'll certainly not be able to make the Liverpool show.

They are looking at 2 possibilities, resume the tour in Brighton tomorrow and continue until the Hamburg show.

One problem is the ferry rates for the Ireland shows, so a second option is that they pick up after the Ireland shows, Glasgow is also too far, so then they'll hop on in Manchester the 20th.what fuck is it.

We're really sorry it fucked up your plans, but it's totally beyond our control.wow, this is a bad situation turned even more shitty... who plans a tour with 4 bands, and then gets a tourbus that doesn't have enough space on it to accomodate everyone? I mean, you have to live on those buses for the duration of the tour, and you at least need a crawlspace of your own...

Anyways, I'm sure you welcomed your shower at home :D

Hope you manage to get out to most of the dates, and blow (detonate?) the other bands off the stage :D

Cool, we'll do anything we can to save as many shows as possible!
We will have to drive ourselves to the remaining shows, but that won't stop us as long as we can find accomodation for the nights to spend...

Great to know, this tour has kinda reinforced our feeling that it's always best to arrange tuff yourself, so you know it's done properly. So I guess the next tour will be driving around in a van, staying in peoples homes again ;)

Well, that's of course the kind of stuff we're also wondering. But unfortunately it's not getting us anywhere, so right now we just try to focus on what we can save.

The singer from Decapitated said last night that the Empire Records guy told them that the original tour bus broke down and the smaller one was a last minute replacement...

There was over a hundred people in last night which is really good for a Tuesday night in Liverpool :D ... everyone seemed happy and the bands all went down great. I know Sal would love to have you guys play sometime so the next time you're planning a UK tour please get in touch with her :)

That really sucks that you can't play in Ireland, I rearranged my shift and was gonna drive up. Won't bother now, just for Decapitated.

It kinda suits me financially, to tell the truth. I have 2 other shows that week. Hope to pick up Portals soon.

Well I just got back from the London gig. Detonation was amazing! Dam was pretty awful in my opinion, it seems to me that the two guitarists know nothing of tone, their guitars sounded like a muddy mess and couldn't cut through the mix.

Anyway, Gorerotted isn't my thing so I went to the bar and had a chance to talk to the Detonation guys and get an album signed. (Remember guys?) :D

Alex

Hey Alex!

Yeah, I remember! The London show was absolutely one of the best we ever did...but the other UK shows were really good as well. I had a really cool time (apart from the 2 hours of sleep I got afterwards, and the hours I had to drive to Holland again straight after the shows...)
Hope you enjoy the album!

We are back home again for now, perhaps we will do the last 3 German dates of the tour, but first we gotta check our financial state for that. ;)

Hah cool, yeah I'm definitely enjoying the album, it's been spun through my player a couple of (hundred) times. You were the best band at the gig, though it's a shame that there were so few people in the 'pit!

I hope you get the chance to come back here February/March next year!

Metal Baron

We'll definitely try to get back to the UK asap. The only thing holding us back right now is trouble with getting off from our jobs. 1 month was already difficult, but taking off for another week or so later this year will just be too soon. But I think February/March next year should be possible. I'll start digging out details in a few days.

One of the most important things is accommodation. We save huge amounts of money when we can stay at friend's places. So drop me a line if you know people that have a large living room :)

Good news for the German fans:

2005-09-27
Good news: we will be able to play the last 3 dates of the tour after all. These will be:

2005-09-30
K17, Berlin (GER)

2005-10-01
Hagalaz e. V., Elterlein (GER)

2005-10-02
Rockpool Arena, Halle (GER)

We are still looking for cheap accommodation though. If you live near and can offer us a place to spend the night, please drop us a line.

We'd also like to use this opportunity to express our thanks to everyone who went to the UK dates of this tour. It's been great playing there again and we were impressed by the large number of people showing up on weekdays and the great response we got. Horns high! We'll be back as soon as we can to make up for the dates we missed!

Contrary to what you may have read/heard, the gig in Halle tonight will go through as scheduled, only without Decapitated!

But DAM, Detonation and Gorerotted will be playing all the same! So, anyone who planned to go, get your arses over there :).

Halle was great, too bad we were already to drunk to play when we had to get on stage, hehe. Well, it wasn't that bad. Nice party afterwards as well. Big thumbs up to the promoters of this gigs, who picked up the guys from Gorerotted and DAM in Elterlein and dropped them off at the Berlin airport after the show, because Decapitated left the tour 1 day early.

The tour is now officially over...the last 3 shows in Germany were cool, especially Berlin and Halle, good to see some of our German fans again after our tour with Dimension Zero last year!

So we are back home again, and back to work in a few days...sucks!
Thanks to everybody who attended the shows these last couple of weeks, we had a great time and I'm already looking forward to a next tour (this time with a better organisation hopefully ;))
