When Flo did his Drum demonstration in Toronto he played three of the new songs, and they were fucking AWSOME!
Everyone is going to be blown away by this upcoming album. I can't wait.

If they put out a new album, I'd be hoping for something in vein of None So Vile. I didn't really like And Then You'll Beg. At all.

Even though NSV is my fave, I really got into And Then You'll Beg. The album seemed to shift the band into a more progressive, (almost) mathcore direction, except 100 times more violent!! I'm sure the album will be amazing: as this is Cryptopsy, any songs that don't seem to grab you instantly will reveal inventive ideas and elements with every repeated listen.

"We Bleed," "Equivalent Equilibrium," "And Then it Passes..." and "Voice of Unreason" were fantastic songs off ATYB IMO. (Not putting "Back To The Worms" in there as it's off their demo. The song fucking rules though!)

I love every song off "ATYB". This album rules so much, I like it far better than "BMF". Also because I simply prefer DiSalvo to Worm.
But, however, Iīm slightly concerned about the new album, simply because Levasseur isnīt with them anymore.

Worm is killer, Ive never heard anything in metal that comes close to his lyrics and vocal insanity. The music in ATYB I think is vastly superior to their earlier stuff obviously due to their progression in skills and craft, If 'Once was Not' crosses Worms Vox+lyrix with ATYB's brutal extreme metal tech (And why wouldnt it?) then Im sure you'll all join me in being blown completely away.

I know what you mean Lichtbringer: Jon has to be my favourite metal guitarist among other heroes such as Adrian Smith/Dave Murray, Piggy, Mitch Harris, Trey Azagthoth/Erik Rutan, Anders Bjorler, Jack Owen/Rob Barrett, Scott Hull etc etc.
That and the fact that he was an integral part of Cryptopsy's core songwriting team from the first album. Like the majority of fans, I was concerned when he decided to leave but I wish him well for his future musical endeavours, which I will definitely check out.
I remember reading an interview with Lord Worm last year in which he described one of Jon's solos, and Jake Disman then saying that Jon hadn't been a major part of the songwriting this time round. For "Once Was Not" Alex is in the role that Jon had for the legendary "None So Vile" and recorded all the guitar parts. It may be different without Jon, but I'm absolutely sure Cryptopsy will produce another fine album.

i remeber that he said there was like wind blowing effects through the solo... i saw alex live you kickeds major ass ,so i'm possitive that the guitar parts will be spot on.

When I heard "Carrionshine", I was truly worried.
