ok i saw things people do to warm up and what helps them but those all got deleted. so what do you all do to warm up? also how bad are those cyst things? and one thing i need help with is making my screams/growls last longer. and how can i go about reaching higher pitches? cause i have trouble with that. i can do the berzerker bassist's voice fine but when i try shit like Anaal Nathrahk i can do it but it totally destroys my throat for a few days. so yeah i suppose that's it....thanks to any with advice.

Its better to learn to sing with your own type of voice.Good vocalist is always trying to find his own "sound" ,not tyring to sound like someone else. You need to practice alot ofcourse.I sing in a BM band but lately i practice my growling vocals for the other band.I pratice 2 hours a day

yeah i know what you mean on that. i've managed to create my own little sound with my voice. i like it. but also i want to learn how to do some of those screams that just seem impossible. i was just using those vocalists as comparisons to what i can do.

Hey dude.
The most important thing about doing vocal growls is not to push your throat more than it can take. You said it hurts after screeming is not a good sign. When i started doing vox work i was crap.... i could sound like burton c. bell (obsolete era) and that was it.
But now i can scream for hours. You should practice until you feel your throat getting tired, or aching. If you keep pushing it then you can do some serious damage. Also try singing to different stuff, i can reach stupidly high notes ala. Danni Filth, as i spent loads of time practacing with Judas Priest on the stereo.
In the questions for the band section there are loads of other post that might help you.

yeah, you've ot to use your stomach. It sounds wierd but it works.
I've been doing it and im trying to increase my range to something like Phillip Anselmo's screams on the great southern trend kill and on the super joint rituasl albums.SO as an added peice can any one help with that?please

Its not a cyst, its a callus. People develop a callus by growling/screeching continually. A callus is just hardened skin, I dont think its bad for you.
