Finally some news on our next full length slab of pure belgian sickness entitled:"Reticulated". The writingproces is working out great, the new songs are much more differentiated then the Insidious album. We feel that the new songs are a synthesis of the astute songwriting which Emeth stands for, yet improved to blend ferocious power and astounding technical prowess together with smashing dynamics to create more resounding songs. Some songtitles are: Concentric Diversion, Heteronomy of the Will, Fallacy of Reason, Karmic Impediment, Predestined to Persevere, Synoptical Incoherence,... If things go as planned the next full lenght will be recorded in december 2005 at the Excess Studio in Rotterdam NL, artwork and lay-out is again in the mighty hands of Svencho for Dirge Design. The record is slanted for release around march 2006 on the Brutal Bands Label.

All main guitartracks are done, today I am gonna do the leads and "ambient" parts. As objective as my opinion can be I must say we found a pretty crushing guitar sound. To me it sounds like an army of Sherman Tanks crushing all in it's way... hahaha (maybe I just saw too many war movies here)
Tomorrow is a well deserved day off and saturday we start again with the bass...

Just a few days left before I leave to Daniel Bergstrand to mix the album. I am looking forward to this in a major way.

I have seen the first samples of the artwork, and damn it looked really nifty... I am loving this album allready just because of the artwork ;-)

agreed to an extent, because I love Cannibal Corpse and Bloodbath. And Exhumed... And Aborted.... And Gorgasm. Okay, nevermind.

But seriously, some guys do need to get over gore. And the whole "anti-christian" thing is kind of getting old too. I do like lyrics like Decrepit Birth, even though they can be anti-religion at times, they still kick ass. One of the coolest concepts ever. And another band that has good lyrics are Ingurgitating Oblivion, and Beheaded do as well. I like stuff that strays away from the norm. But I can tolerate gore too.

oh and about gore.... I don't actually keep from listening to stuff because of it (HA!)... I just don't like the themes, the visuals etc., and wish they were something else.

I am leaving tomorrow for Dug Out studio's, where Daniel Bergstrand & I will be doing the final mix of the Reticulated album. Artwork is fastforward progress... will probably post a preview when I get back from Dug Out.

RETICULATED UPDATE and SONG SAMPLE

At last a major update on the Reticulated album. All the recordings were done at the Excess studio and they went as smooth as can be! It was a pleasure to work again with Hans and Dennis. Everyone in Emeth pushed their playing beyond the boundaries to record some things we thought we couldn't do, thus we are utterly satisfied with the recordings. There is also a guest on this album as well, we had 'da Svencho' from Aborted drop some killer vokills.
Matty just got back from The Dug Out Studio (Sweden) with the final mix. Daniel Bergstrand worked his magic on the recordings and it sounds fucking great! Daniel is a truely driven person and he delivered a sound which will blow your speakers! Artwork is also going to be pretty sick and updates can be expected once this is finished.
Now all that's left is to get the master (from CuttingRoom Sweden) and the artwork to be 100% done and this album is ready to get out there and spread some Extreme Belgian Sickness.

emeth evolved as a band and as musicians, we didn't feel like doing an insidious 2, so we added a lot of new stuff to the musick to give it more dimension and depth. The old vocal style just flattened out everything that was going on in the music. This is just one song, there is a lot of going on with vokills as well, just stick around for the album...
