When will the new cd be out and is their a title yet? What can the fan expect from the new stuff?

Matt here from Decrepit Birth. Yeah, we do have songs for the next album in the works. The next album will be just as brutal as the first one, but will be a little more mature, and melodic. We plan to start recording by next year in my studio, called Legion Studios, and the next album might have a little bonus! As some of you know we have replaced Derek Boyer who is now in Suffocation. We have also added a second guitarist, and I am busy teaching them the material. We are talking with several drummers about filling the position, because our main goal, right now, is to do some tours. If you are a drummer and you're interested in sending an audition tape or something, please get a hold of me!

New DB forum... Cool. - I mentioned it on the Suffocation board, But let me reiterate here...

I just got "and time begins" - Also a fitting companion for "souls to deny" - Both have Dan's art too... There's a huge thematic cohesion on this record. The whole thing's like getting slammed by a tornado and looking at the cover - bam! hellish mealstrom's ending the world or some such chaos...

Rebirth of Consciousness is an imediate favorite. and the Instrumental... slower, a little breather before the final slab of blistering fury. - That's it! - One word summary of this record:

FURY.

Done with chaos and precision. I'm hungry for more.

Anyway, I heard one of the roughs of one of the new songs, the one with the solo and I must say, that was fucking so cool. I really cannot wait to hear Decrepit with two guitarists. It's going to be amazing.

Yeah, that song you heard has been changed quite a bit, our new stuff will be more melodic, but still retain all of the aspects of ...ATB, with a bit more maturity, in my opinion. I'm working on a new song that is very much based on a few progressions, that are all very realitive, but there are many sub sections that are morphed versions of the dominant riffs. I've been listening to a lot of Death, Necrophagist and Psycroptic, and I can say that those bands have been a big influence on my writing lately.

Yeah, I'm pretty much sure you can count on the tempos being over 200 bpm. The new song I'm writing goes between 230, and 260, then we have a lot of triplet time stuff too. The tempos are not pre-decided though, I just play at the tempos that the music feels right to me.

Yeah it's done, 2 songs recorded. But it was for Derek only, I don't want anyone to hear this shitty sounding demo. And the guy we mixed it with does not know what he's doing and made it sound like shit, this is the second time he's done this. The next time we record it's going to be at your place Matt.
