I love Alchemist's version of Jeff Wayne's Eve of the War - how about releasing a cover of the entire album? Perhaps in collaboration with some big name international bands, and local bands?
WOTW is one of those childhood defining albums for me and a lot of other people, we'd love to hear it kicked up a notch!

Wow great idea but alchemist are to busy writting new tunes for a 2006 release , sept 2005 will see the Embryonics double cd released , it contains all the best tunes from the 90s albums plus rare demo tracks and band track liner notes, Eve of the war will be included on the Embryonics.:D:p

I can't wait to lay my hands on the new release.
Maybe I come over, and pick one up

Wasn't the original album by Jeff Wayne re-released recently? If so, is it worth checking out?
Dunno - I heard sales went through the roof when Speilburgs version was released - It wouldn't suprise me if they re-released it at the same time.

Yeah, but didn't his remake suck? that's what you get if you cast people without any real acting abilities! I mean, the best part for me was using the Boston Red Sox - New York Stankees as son-father analogy. :)

Has your version gained worth, too, since then?
We got a bit of radio play on triple J here in Oz. It's out of print so we'll see if Embryonics goes off - first song on disc 2.

So we'll have to spread the word, I guess. Does anyone know which Spielberg-fan sites (Is there such a thing on the net? I'm afraid so but I'm too lazy to look it up now for myself ...) to spam with these news?
