Mille (Kreator)
Trey A. and Erik Rutan (M.A and H.E)
Rob Vigna (Immolation)
Doug Cerrito and Terrance Hobbs (Suffocation)

The guitarist in NOX has some good skills when it comes to riffing, really fast stuff!

As I always have said: I'll rather be a good rythm guitarist, that makes great riffs! Than a smart ass lead guitarist, that makes pussy riffs" haha!!!

Joe, Jerry, Lifeson - some of my alltime faves. Not to pay any disrespect to Alan Holdsworth or Michael Hedges. There's a lot of good shit out there. Hammet is also in my books as one of the good ones. My alltime favorites would have to be John Lee Hooker and BB King for their sheer style and kick-ass-ness. They just simply rock - no arguments allowed! Oh, and Neil Young - classic!

Finally got to hear the Necrophagist album, it's sick shit for sure and they got great skills, but nonetheless I have to say that it's too much "lead guitar" style for my taste. But an album that will be spinning from time to time I guess!!

I like guitarists that shread hard!!! You know, that make downstrokes (when it's suposed to be downstrokes) instead of up/downs. Guitarist that are "playing hard" with their plectre hand! A lot of fast guitarist seems to only care about the hand work on the board...

I think guitarist like Shaune Kelley (Ripping corpse/Dim mak), Erik Rutan and Trey A. are good examples of that and I remember being extremely impressed with the playing of Dough/Hobbs when I saw Suffocation back in the day (Breeding tour..)
