To Serve Man is an awful sounding doctored peice of shit. Humanure destroys it. You're nuts. the songs on To Serve Man are really catchy and shit and they're good songs, but Humanure is better in so many more ways. the production, the musicianship, especially the drumming... I'm not sure if I like the vocals all that much, but I'm never completely happy anyways.

To Serve Man sucks to me man.. I don' t know what you guys see in it. I think the songs are good and all but it's a clicky monotonous mess. With mids.

We're going to go with the guy that did the new Cephalic I think for the next one. Humanure was too "old school" sounding. We want a fresher sound... we're going to throw some breakdowns in there and some at the gates parts....... ......... ........JUST KIDDING.

here is my honest opinion on favorite CD albums:
Human Jerky
To Serve Man
Homovore
Humanure
Ten Torments

i really like To Serve alot, that was my first CD album. Human Jerky fucking takes it for me, i love goregrind and it just has a bad ass sound. Homovore is different, has a unique sound that i like. Humanure is good but doesn't hit me like the previous albums, i dunno why. i'm not saying it's bad in any way, just doesn't click to me like the others. maybe it's the sans double vocals, i dunno.

will we ever get any Human Jerkyesque releases again? short and brutal?

I really think Micheal did a better job with the drums on Humanure but they are not that noticeable. If you listen to To serve Man, you can hear every snare hit and the drums are really high, haha. I heard that you guys recorded the drum tracks on Humanure in this little home studio thing, maybe thats why...again like I said, the drumming is still kick ass.

Yes and you are one of them Travis.

By the way To Serve Man rocks...I think it is because the old drummer is on it so you dislike his work perhaps...but for me it rules!

I think its because he didn't know what to do with the songs because the time length of the songs were alot longer,Dave was so used to playing 30 sec to 2 min grind songs and To Serve Man was a lot different. So thats why there are constant blasts through the whole record.

The CDs are all decent, but I barely listen to any of them. Rather see them live. I don't think the band has really captured what they're capable of on CD yet. Hopefully the new CD corrects that.

Well, why don't you explain why the drums on T.S.M sucked so badly like you always say.

what was with the drums? were they just leveled out, or were a lot of parts put in that werent actualy played? i mean, there isnt really anything overly technical on that cd drum wise.

and to serve man is my fav.

;) the day Cattle Decapitation uses breakdowns is the day I circumcise myself with a shard of glass.

having said that, Humanure is my favorite.

the snare is all jumbled together on the blasting parts, they dont sound like rimshots eather. some of the parts were slowed down live, to more of a slayer kinda thrash beat, and i think that makes a big difference.

the thing about blasting is, with speed you get lots of inconsistancy. thats why many drummers are using triggers on the bass drum now. in studio, most drummers just level out the volumes to make it sound better. i dont think this was done, so that might explain at least the snare drum volume. eather way, the drums on this cd are a lot more technical, and i think better
