old school 80s Krammer XL III (http://img14.photobucket.com/albums/v43/skunk_carcass/stuff/guitar.jpg) got it used. yea, i know a string is missing, that's how i play it! i like it with 5 strings, it's just my thing yo
now i have a Lymphatic Phlegm sticker on my guitar, heres shots of it Lymphatic (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v43/skunk_carcass/lymphsticker.png) Phlegm (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v43/skunk_carcass/lymphsticker2.png)

Crate MX15R (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v43/skunk_carcass/cattlepatch2.png) my guitar amp, i've put this thing through hell and it still works great! got my CD patch i got at one of the shows on it, woot!

generic drums (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v43/skunk_carcass/1drums.jpg) i don't even know what the hell brand drums these are, i got them used from the same guy i got my guitar from. it don't matter what brand to me tho, they do me justice so it's all good. don't bitch at me how i have them set up, i have it set to where it's most comfortable to me!
another shot (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v43/skunk_carcass/1drums2.jpg)

i also have an acoustic guitar, an electric-acoustic guitar, an electric bass, and a synth but i don't have pics of those, maybe i'll get some later.

Doesn't playing without strings warp the neck? I had a fender that i played without the bottom (or top if you're getting technical) strings for a really long time, when i was too poor to afford to change strings often enough. well, after a while the neck got out of alignment. it was also a piece of crap, which probably had more to do with it....just watch out for that though. i think i may have left it next to a radiator too, whatever.

i play an ibanez S series now, with a crate amp, and 3 boss pedals (MT-2, DS-1, and BD-1) and zoom 505 (that sucks)

not for mine, luckily. it's hard heavy solid wood :D

you might be wondering how i decided to play with just 5 strings. simply, the one that i have missing snapped and i didn't feel like changing it, and i've kept it like that since. i like it like that, cause i keep the first string (what ever it's called) real loose, and it's easier to bend cause it gives it more space, which i do alot. if you're all wondering, i make noisecore crap, so yea. i gave Travis a copy of my first demo, i've yet to hear what he thinks of it (or if he listened to it)

I guess an uneven neck would actually help you if you played avant-garde noisecore. That excrutiating string buzz that most regular players detest will sound like sweet symphonies to noisecore players.

I abandoned the neck on my old fender and just have the body. I can't find any necks for it. Can you buy just regular strat necks? Like, bolt it on yourself or something...I'd figure you could, but i seem to be having a problem finding them.

Right now i have a Behringer 400watt 4x12 stack. I'm currently playing out of a crate1200 head which has shit the bed. The input is all fucked up and it cuts out and squeels. I have a line6 spider II head on layaway at guitar center. Should be picking that bad boy up in a couple weeks. Oh yeah my guitars.....Jackson DR7 and a custom Dean from the 80s that i found just sittin around at this local music shop, that i got on a steal. The guy had no clue what he had there. I'll try to get pics.

old Deans and Kramers own all. It's a shame Kramer's are crappy 25$ guitars now, they used to be the shit in the 80's, what with Lynch and Van Halen playing them.

I played a Kramer from the 80's it had the perfect action, it was so much nicer than any Gibson's I've played. They're all collectors guitars now though. There are still some nice ones on ebay, but i don't trust 'em.

Being a bass player, I don't have much to contribute to this thread. Instead of wasting time with my amp setup, here are the three basses I own:

Ibanez G10 4 String (powder blue color...It's a good 10 years old...my second bass. My first one was stolen)

Spector Euro 4 string (black-blue color...I love this bass. This is the one I play out with the most...)

Warwick Thumb 6 string neckthrough (I play it a lot...but I haven't taken it out of the house yet. It's less than a year old so no removing from the house).-

I have a home studio so this may be a little long......here goes nothing. I have a fully loaded Dell desktop with REASON 2.5 (for drums) And cubase for recording and mastering. I have an Ibaez G10 double cutaway that I run through a digitech metal master distortion pedal I also run all guitars through a Rocktron "HUSH" noise suppressor pedal I use the Ibanez for all of the right side guitars on my recordings. The second guitar I use is a Schecter 006 deluxe that I run through the same pedal combination for the left side guitars. I transport the drums from reason to my BR8-64 digital recorder then I record all guitars to the "scratch" drums"
then I do my vocals through a MXL 990 vocal mic. I than pop it all into cubase master it and boo bam.
Well, I think I rambled a bit and I wont hold it against you guys if you want to kick my ass :)

try setting your drums up with the highat on the right and your toms decending to the left, like a left handed set. im willing to bet with that setup you lead with your left hand, you might like it better
