I watched the Meet your Meat video and had a hard tiem stomaching it, so I didnt bother watching the other one

Im not vegetarian but a few months ago I looked into it and was seriously contemplating going veg, but I didnt, but I stopped eating KFC a while ago from the video I seen and animal cruelty is just intolerable, I get filled with rage when I heard about animal cruelty cases

I figured I'd post one about the massive meat industry and one about the fur trade, which is the video that I think makes people so sad. Because its more familiar to people. They look like some people's pets and that really hits home, pisses people off, makes people think. Shit it almost makes me want to ball like that dude.

I watched both, got through the first one, after the first animal was skinned alive I couldn't take it anymore, I started balling like a girl :( can't get that fucking picture out of my head now. How the fuck can anyone do this kind of stuff to living things? :mad:

we set up a peta table at the local college a couple weeks ago. we had both "meet your meat" and "a day in a massachusetts slaughterhouse" going at the same time on two big televisions on either side of the table. people freaked out on that shit. that pushed a lot of pamphlets and made a huge impact on a lot of people.
it's kind of hard getting through to people in this area though. a lot of pro-beef bumperstickers and shit around here. lots of farmers and rednecks. my "no meat" tattoo gets a lot of comments. i got one the other day about being a "meat hater" and i said "no, i'm an animal lover" so that's my standard response now

but yeah, there's a lot of assholes on myspace.

I was already a vegetarian before I saw those videos, but damn they are pretty messed up. Even if you eat meat they make you think. The one with the pig-throat slitting machine is better. That one made me hack up some lettuce I ate.

Ok, their band name suggests the glorification of nuclear war, annihilation and catastrophe. but the lyrics are completely informative or at least objective of the current state of affairs. At that time we were all scared of Russia and nuclear war. And they made people think through their politically charged lyrics. You could say the same for MEGADETH. It's the same thing with us. We're just part of a whole generation or line of metal that deals with current events or the state of society.

Lyrically, it's much better off than dealing with the rape of a corpse or the worshipping of a deity other than the self. That shit's just nonsensical, entertaining at times, but nonsense nonetheless.

You are right in all ways but the name Cattle Decapitation just doesn't sound like animal rights the first time you hear the name...most likely somebody that doesn't listen to Death Metal would think that there is an anti animal message in the bands lyrics. But even Death Metal fans at first don't know that there is a animal rights message, in fact even Death Metal fans think there would be animal cruelty in the lyrics...even I did at first but then I figured out that wasn't the case I read the lyrics and figured out what the band was about.

I couldn't agree with your more on the lyrics issue about rape and pedophilia is just utterly ridiculous. But Cattle Decapitation lyrics are superb…there is an animal rights message that isn’t corny in anyway plus gory misanthropic lyrics and some humor to make the band very entertaining and peculiar. The message is animal rights…now I don’t know about the misanthropy subject, is that part of the message or entertainment?
